Another positive for Ollivelli. We popped in at the weekend (no reservation!) for an early dinner with our daughter. Food and service was great, not cheap but we were absolutely stuffed and so should have ordered less food. Good luck to them

We went to the Herne for a Sunday roast and it was without question the best we've had round here in ages. The starters were delicious, the portions huge and it was perfectly cooked. I thought the food under the previous management wasn't great and was very overpriced. It was also great to see a packed pub with plenty of people just drinking at the bar (a rarity round here these days) staff were really friendly and helpful. Good luck to the new team.

Having used the site to find tradesmen, I just wanted to make my own recommendation for Mark, Zenny and the team at Floor Sander Rental.co.uk (Tel: 0208 698 2010) We had a really orange and very damaged solid wood floor which they have just renovated. It looks like new. The sanding was indeed totally dust free and done really quickly despite the repair and filling work and us changing our minds about stain colour. Thanks

Can anyone recommend a bricklayer please?
ech replied to tomwalkerhome's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I highly recommend Alan Tel; 07988666569 (backiej on here - you can see lots of other recommendations for him) he rebuilt our kitchen chimney breast, did an amazing job and was a really lovely guy. See before and after pics attached. -

Totally agree with Sue. The new bins are such a blight, i'm guessing whoever chose the colour doesn't have to live round here! -
37 Bus Route - good and bad comments please
ech replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks James for doing this. Agree with all the comments above. It's a really useful route with very little alternative options but the service is terrible. It's so unreliable, they frequently arrive 2 even 3 at a time then there's not another for ages. -
Also recommend Hoopers quiz, Thursday nights

I can't wait for The Victoria to open! The plans sound great Scott. It will be our nearest pub and having recently moved from Herne Hill we're missing the Florence.
