oh hoo, which venue shall we try?

As there is no Mag Quiz on Sunday (td) Is anyone up for a few games of Scrabble, Tantrix, Articulate, Playing Cards that kinda thing

I'm probably the kinda of driver that Mr. Macghaban would like to hear from, as I have been known to drive to the Plough (usually because I have about 6 Scrabble boards and stuff) Mag (because I don't like walking up hills, and I can offer other people a lift home from the quiz) & EDT (usually working from EDT and then picking up my husband after a boozy after work drinks) from Friern Road. I have no problem parking in ED even on a Saturday, although I probably don't go down the lane as often as I would if I wasn't driving. I don't have children, I just like driving more than I like drinking alcohol. And I only passed my test 3 years ago so for 10years of not driving I've probably not damaged the planet as much as someone who has been driving since they were 18yrs.

As I noticed there was some extra interest in the scrabble meets, I thought I'd bump this up with the invite to usual Wednesday Night meet. 7PM ish Quite fancy the Clockhouse, as there was plenty of space and the music wasn't too loud (oh gosh I sound like my parents)

Anyone up for Scrabble and other games - and the MAG Quiz. We seem to get more scrabble players down the clockhouse end so might go for a venue near there. All suggestions welcome

A great night started off slow, Floating Onion and myself had a 2 player game followed by the joining of Mr.& Mrs BB. And eventully Mr. & Mrs LTP. Super Scrabble made a rare appearance with 6 players, but unfortunatly no Tantrix or Articulate. Many topics were discussed usually around which 2 letter words were allowed and their meanings, but also the fact that the Mind Shop has the board game Articulate for sale and there will be a race to buy it betweeen Mogs & BB. Maybe a meet up on Sunday and of course the MAG Quiz so if you want to join us just drop me a PM.

Finally logged on in the house and can confirm that we are meeting in THE CLOCKHOUSE - I will send out text messages too

Perhaps they should get the old quiz master from the MAG to do the quiz, he always manages to get a great atomosphere going.

Scrabble & Other Games Wednesday 7ish at The Drum on Northcross Road All levels welcome, if you would like text alerts of future meets pm with you contact details. Text usually go out 24hrs before It also helps to know how many are likely to turn up as I can bring more than one board or even bring out super scrabble.

Game tomorrow at The Drum 7ish start.

We had a Scrabble night one Thursday at the plough while the quiz was on and between three of us we came second, the great thing was when we went to the Mag on the Sunday they repeated one of the rounds, so we got 10 out of 10 for that round. The quiz was very slow running quiet good as it enabled us to carry on with our scrabbling
