  2. Surely? http://www.besportier.com/archives/only-stand-up-fisherman%27s-kayak.jpg
  3. If you'd said strawberry split.............. (Cheers PGC)
  4. I know that. Just wondered what a Mivvi is :-S
  5. I was going to say cherries. Have a mate who swears by them.
  6. Errr, yeah and we all turned out dead normal didn't we? Perhaps I should retract my earlier posts. ;-)

As a kid if I got in trouble as school, I was more concerned about what my parents would say when they saw the report. If I was out with my mates and they started acting like scallies, I was more frightened of the reaction that my parents would have if I was brought home by the police rather than actually being caught by the police. Therefore - I behaved. I can probably count on one hand how many times I was actually smacked by my parents, but knowing it could happen made sure I towed the line. Everyone (eugh, nearly typed Everton then) has the right to their own opinion. If a smack on the back of your children's legs doesn't work for you, then don't do it. At the same time, I don't think it's right to judge people that advocate it. *puts on tin hat*
  8. I think that certain people/parts of the country have every reason to "hate" Thatcher.
  9. Do we really need another thread for the old witch?
  10. Plenty of the shoulder variety in ED. Had some good chips from that chippy on Bellenden road a few weeks ago. Agree 100% with Smiler. Chips up north are the best by miles and I have never had a good gravy or curry sauce down here either so just don't bother now.
  11. When I was a child there was nothing that I feared more than being told off by mother. Therefore I generally behaved. I was smacked as child (not regularly as I soon learnt my lesson) and don't blame my Mum for using that form of discipline. A child being slapped/smacked is quite different to being hit. Parents have the right to discipline (within boundaries) their children as they see fit. As s child I honestly believe that the respect I had for my parents certainly helped to quickly learn between right and wrong.
  12. You are just taking the piss with this thread aren't you?
  13. Am with Keef and Mr Ben on this one. f you suspected that someone had abused your children would you be paid off as a settlement? or want them to be locked away so it could never happen again? I really wouldn't trust the allegations made against him, but that's just me. I never met the man, don't know the full circumstances (only what i've heard via the press) so who am I to judge.? Whilst jacko was clearly a wave or two short of ship wreck, I really don't think he had any malice in him or was intentionally deviant. He had a shite childhood and clearly wanted to recapture his lost youth. I'm not saying whatever happened or what he did was right, but I honestly think he was seriously fucked up and just wanted to be like a child sometimes. Think it's quite sad.
  14. red devil - do you not think that it is wholly inappropriate to compare the rattle to the shitty rag of a newspaper, which any Liverpool supporter worth their salt would have nothing at all to do with? Do you have even have access to it?
  15. You had a disagreement with someone over football? ::o
  16. How funny is this? Apparently, Madrid sent some representatives to negotiate over Alonso and Arbeloa at the end of last week. They offered a straight deal including some of the Dutch contingent (Van der Vaart and Sneijder), then they offered Gago, and then they offered Negredo. Each time, Rafa asked what values Madrid were placing on these players and finally burst into incredulous laughter. "Remind me - who beat whom by five goals to nil in the Champions League? he tells the now flustered Madrid negotiators. "Only it must be us who lost, because my players, whom you are wanting to take away, are worth nothing, whereas yours, whom you are trying to discard, each seem to have higher values". And the negotiations ended there and then! Source - the Rattle. Gotta love Rafa B :)-D
  17. I clearly don't post enough. Which is good as it became a bad habit.
  18. How the fook did Spain lose to the USA tonight? I didn't watch it, but they looked like they were easily going to win this tournament, from what I had seen.
  19. Depends on how you look at it.
  20. Collymore and Macca - decent?! I would never knock setanta as they stopped sky having the monopoly and that could only be a good thing.
  21. The fella with the bell. I'm sure he's lovely, but he'd drive me mad if I stood near him.
  22. Yeah, I have to say I don't think he'd be my cup of tea. I won't ask how you know Crouch. Was disappointed to see him go, but totally understand his reasoning.
