  1. Hi Mums and Dads! Livia is One later on in the month and so can you recommend any Central (ish) venues for her birthday party? Preferably not Gambados style... Thank you!
  2. I have two girls: a 2 yrs old and an eight week old ... Will be nice to connect with other Polish Mums to have a regular play dates perhaps? Keen for my 2yrs old to speak more polish.... Joanna O7950 391909
  3. Thanks bumpy, will do! We are going there for a trial this week...fingers crossed she'll love it as much as your little one ;) She never stayed with anyone because there was never any need as I work from home...fingers crossed xx
  4. I am due end of next month and so we are thinking of a nursery for our 2yrs old, a couple of mornings a week...? Would you say it's a good one? Montessoris vary so much...or can you suggest an alternative? Thanks so much! xx
  5. Can anyone recommend local ish removal companies? I have no clue what to expect price wise and so wanting to find out if it's worth using someone rather than doing it ourselves...thank you!
  6. We did it ourselves when my l/o was a few months old through www.paspic.com it was great, and stress free ;)
  7. Hi Kelly, do you cover Crystal Palace Triangle area? ;)
  8. Yes. She had quite a bit available to buy...shelves at least a few rows deep... She also said one can order online and collect instore ;)
  9. Hi ya! Shot in the dark, but has anyone got a gazebo I can borrow for Sunday? It's my little one's first birthday party and we are opting for bbq in our back garden...the weather forecast isn't too good but too late to change plans and so hoping to find a gazebo last minute to shelter from rain if need be... Many thanks!
  10. Is there anywhere locally I can buy some? Many thanks ;)
  11. THANK YOU All ;) I must say in my head I had so much more going on! And I felt like I must invite everyone...Great help! Off to Treshers I go ...:)!
  12. Hello... We are going to brave the weather and host our little one's first birthday party in our garden...do you have any suggestions on what works, what to do and what def not to do? I am getting slightly carried away I fear with decorations, cakes, toys, plates and colour coordinating the whole thing....and I have just paused, thinking....right, you're being plain silly here, this might just cost us a small fortune! So, any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance ;)
  13. Hiya! My now 5 month old really didn't like any of the bouncers or swinging chairs...still doesn't! We've been through pretty much every single one available on the hight street and had to return them all! I must admit that FP (an older model- deep and reclining one with vibrations and music and swinging motion) that I bought second hand on here was of interst for 2 days! So I agree with Fuschia it'd def worth getting second hand...
  14. I used arbonne - baby care oil and re9 body moisturiser...I was seriously obsessed with rubbing it on throughout my pregnancy but it did the trick!! Very happy and know exactly what to use for the next bump to come...;)
  15. Thank you Knomester, it does help! I didn't think of keeping a written log and so have started doing it just now ;) I am very excited and actually feeling quite confident since I started looking at the weaning process as an additional/complimentary food, fun food introduction ;) Many thanks!
  16. Oooh excellent! Thanks Bonfire2010...didn't know there was a cook book too ;)
  17. That's so kind of you Saffron, Thank you! I do have a copy and find it very interesting indeed...Matilda is just days away from turning 5 months and also has been reaching out for our food which got me quite excited and worried at the same time... Sophiechristophy I really appreciate your comment, especially your summarising the weaning process as 'complimentary feeding' love it! I wasn't sure to be completely honest where to start and so what you said really helps ;) This evening I offered my little girl softened strips of carrot and I wasn't expecting her to enjoy them quite as much! She wasn't eating but as you said it must have soothed her gums somewhat...very pleased.
  18. Thank you Mathilda! What a lovely name...that's my little girl's name only without the "h"...;)
  19. Hi ya! Not too sure this will help but my hubby and I flew a couple of times with our little one but opted for a cheaper stroller as a travel pram for the same reason...I was worried my brand new SX and carry cot (which can be flat packed)will get wrecked when loaded onto the plane. We flew BA and saw a few carry cots at the airport which meant that people happily travel with them however seeing the state of our pram at the other end...glad we didn't ;(
  20. Hello Yummy Mummies! My little one is 21 weeks and showing some of the signs to be ready for weaning...up until now she has been exclusively breast fed and I was determined to keep it that way until 6 months. She didn't take to a bottle nor a dummy so the plan is to go straight to a cup and skip the bottle part full stop... She is also teething quite full on at the moment ;( How did you all start weaning? Are any of you doing baby led weaning or are you mixing it with traditional? I think I'd like to do baby led first... What are your thoughts, ideas etc Thanks :))
  21. I highly recommend Breastfriend, it was a life-saver...I fed my little one all the time (it felt like it)and it felt safe and ever so comfy...you can clip it where you need it as it's adjustable...sadly sold mine already ;(
