I just think to print that in her own magazine , unchallenged and without a counter argument to balance the article is not good. It's just really ironic also as people tend to think that breastfeeding mums are bullies, and judgemental, but the fact is in this country the numbers of breastfed babies are very very low, and articles like that do not help. People don't get judged for formula feeding ( only online!) but we do get judged for breastfeeding, the complaints and looked of disgust a lot of us go through shows the mentality on a whole of how we are treated, hence when we shout, we shout very loudly because us breastfeeding mums are fed up with the attitude we encounter for something that is natural. This editor's view is for too common and is reflected in the fact that lots of mums formula feed. I honestly do not believe that the huge number of mums who do not breastfeed is because they 'cannot' I do believe some cannot due to low milk supply and other medical problems but I think a lot of mums think they are unable to because of lack of support ( my midwives in the hospital were awful and I honestly thought I could not breastfeed at all and my son was on the bottle for a week, but thanks to a very nice midwife who saw me at home and the help of my trusty breast feeding cushion I managed to breastfeed after feeling a failure and thinking my body has failed me, I would have been one of those mums who thought she could not breast feed if it had not been for that midwife) We need to address why we have such a low number of mums breastfeeding, as the editor said, her breasts are her funbags, she wants to have wine etc, all rather silly arguments in my view, but then if she is that shallow then so be it. I am not too keen on the feeding baby finger food before a year old, and I would rather not have any child gagging, and just do it from the slow but gradual purees, lump, solids/finger food stage as food before one is just about tastes and textures. They used to do one meal per day on the show, so we had half hour to focus on the host and it would go more into details such as where they shopped for their food, a tour of their house and so on but now they have compressed them all into a one hour show they have cut so many bits out, I don't like the new format, I prefer it spread over the course of the week.

My son had his 8 months check and we have been referred to Kings as the GP said he had a lump in one of his testicles. I am not panicking or googling because google can be evil sometimes but does anyone have any experience about it? I am just putting it down to fatty tissue or something. Bandanas are a great way of providing head coverage, lots of babies tend to pull their hats off, even the tie on ones, so bandanas are a good alternative. I love my portable air con, I just leave it on in the bedroom an hour or so before we go to bed, it brings the temperature down to 18c, and I turn it off before bed time and everyone gets a good night sleep. I find the fans just circulate warm germy air. A bit of sun is always good, we need the vitamin D so do not hide the little ones completely from the sun, just be careful with sunburn by slapping on the factor 50 and keeping them in the shade between the hottest hours. I offer lots of water, have a water spray to squirt them, a wet cloth, paddling pool etc to keep them cool. Bed times tends to be just a nappy and vest, and then a light sheet or very light cellular blanket if the temperature drops during the night.

Most nanny jobs also are pretty short term, so we are potentially looking to get a new job every few years as parents tend to have more children, put them in nursery, want a nanny share and so on. So the job security is never great and I have gone weeks/months without a job whilst I look for a replacement job.

Edz I have never worked for the amount you stated per week so it does not apply to me but I have to say that nannies generally are for people with very high income, these people want their baby to have one on one care and attention. People are willing to pay that for a good experienced nanny. People that cannot afford that use childminders, Au Pairs, Nurseries or a nanny starting out. I know you find it expensive, but nannies fulfil the criteria for some people, whereas childminders/nurseries fulfil others.

I was shocked Tessa still held to her seat. How is that possible?! And she has been in power too long that trying to communicate with her these days is impossible. Whereas James Barber was on the ball constantly and I thought the Lib Dem were going to win the seat in our borough. I am pleased that the Green party finally got a seat. Seems pretty ironic that Green seems the common sense party to vote for, but everyone is stuck in the Tories/Labour Mode.

Not seen the outdoors gym equipment in Peckham Rye but they are a hit at Dulwich Park, all of them were in use by adults and young ones alike. The outdoors ping pong tables look great too but I would think you would have to bring your own bat and ball, though what ball would work outdoors in the wind?!
