  1. Come and explore the meaning of Advent at this exhibition open daily from 9:30am to 1:30pm. There will be a number of workshops and activities: Sunday 1st December 3pm - Service of Blessing with Bishop Christopher and featuring the 'Ceremony of Carols' Saturday 7th December 9:30am - Open Day for artists to respond to the exhibtion. Please bring your own materials. Sunday 8th December 2pm - Talks about the exhibition by Anne Hamilton-Abouchar and Donna Mc Dowell from St Paul's Sunday 8th December 4pm - Kindertransport Talk by Dr Jennifer Craig-Norton about her new book Sunday 8th December 6pm - Silent Prayer Wednesday 18th December 11am - Coffee Morning Talk by Ray Woolford on foodbanks and how they support refugees
  2. Come and sing your favourite carols at St John's Carols by the Green event on December 14th. We'll get your festive mood started with wonderful Christmas music, mince pies, mulled wine and teas, coffee, cake, etc. Check out our Christmassy crafts too. Admission is free! Do drop in!
  3. This week on the 11th September the Goose Green Coffee Morning will feature a talk by the Robes Project . The Robes project helps homeless people in a variety of ways, including using churches as a shelter - come along to hear all about it. The talk starts at 11am.
  4. Would you like to find out more about the history and architecture of your local church? St John the Evangelist, East Dulwich will be open to visitors on Saturday 21st September 10am?3pm. All are welcome ? free entry! There will be an organ recital at 11am.   5. St John the Evangelist Church at Goose Green is again holding its Music by the Green event this May. We have a variety of music including choirs and steel pans, plus BBQ, Pimms, cake, crafts for all, a children's activity and more. A lovely was to spend the afternoon - come and join us!

  7. Goose Green Coffee Morning meets every Wednesday at St John's Church on Goose Green. Get in touch with your community - drop in for coffee, cake and a chat. We feature a guest speaker on the second Wednesday each Month. On Wednesday the 13th November there will be a chance to hear all about The Arts Society at 11am. Do drop in! Coffee morning starts at 10:30 and the talk starts at 11:00. Hope to see you soon!
  8. St John?s East Dulwich will be holding its ever popular Christmas Fair on Saturday December 1st. Again we?re inviting local makers and traders to hire tables for selling their wares. Please get in touch if you think you might be interested. ? We regularly experience a footfall of around 300. ? We will distribute posters and flyers to local shops, caf?s, etc, and make use of social media, local forums and listings. ? Admission to the fair will be free. ? The fair has lots of festive attractions to draw people in, including Santa?s grotto, face painting and children?s activities, mulled wine, mince pies and other refreshments, Christmas music by brass band and flute, carol sing-a-longs and traditional Christmas fair attractions. ?   10. Yes Peckhamside, soup and light lunches will be available, as well as a delicious selection of homemade cakes, tea and coffee. And of course there will be mince pies, with plenty of mulled wine! We'll have plenty of seating so you can take the weight off your feet and soak up the festive atmosphere. Sue
  11. As well as Opal Flutes the fair will start with our Brass Band, both playing Christmas favourites. If that isn't Christmassey enough you can sing along to some Christmas Carols. I'm sure the mulled wine will nicely loosen everyone's throat for singing! I think we'll have a great time! Sue
  12. Hi Jackie, St. John's East Dulwich is hosting it's annual Christmas Fair on the 2nd December, from 11am until 3pm.   13. Hi Webster, Yes we will have lots of second-hand toys and a "Vintage" section with an appealing array of second-hand items. You might also like our second-hand books.   17. The Christmas Fair has been held at St John?s East Dulwich for more years than anyone can remember. This year, we would like to expand our offering to include some local makers and traders. We have a number of tables available to hire, and hope local craftspeople will be able to join us. We regularly experience a footfall of 200 ? 300 at our Christmas Fairs, and this will be given an extra push this year by displaying posters in local shops and caf?s and distributing flyers. We will be making use of social media and local forums to publicise the fair, and will be included in the listings of local publications. Admission to the fair will be free.
