  1. Hi. Does anyone know if there are any textile recycling bins nearby? I've searched on Google for options but not clear results and the recycling center doesn't have this. Have old used material that can't be resold.
  2. Yup and not byob anymore although some people still appear to do so 😅
  3. That site is currently being set up as a physio. A google search suggests units 1-2 is where Drop wine bar currently is.
  4. I really don’t want to be a complainer, but mail is definitely no longer arriving in SE22.
  5. I know everyone is well aware of the phone snatchers by now, but just a reminder to be on your guard. Just watched a guy on a bike ride onto the pavement on Lordship Lane near the post office and try to snatch a phone from a woman. Thankfully she managed to hold onto it. There were two of them cycling around.
  6. Thanks. I dropped off the books that I thought would be most helpful for them already this week. Thanks for the advice. I have advertised the ones that may be of use for studies on this forum then dropped off some at Oxfam in Herne Hill and others at the Bell End House book exchange. Still a few more to drop which I will likely give to Mind on LL who I like.
  7. Hi everyone. Just wondering if there are any organisations who would welcome a bunch of books which includes English classics and plays from my uni studies? Of course there is the book exchange where I will drop the more mainstream books or charity shops.
  8. Is it open now then? Still shows as coming soon on their website and no reviews yet.
  9. Love this. Thanks for sharing. Too true but wholly proud to be an East Dulwichite!
  10. Found something of value on Kempis Way near Townley Road bus stop in the morning 4th Dec. If you dropped something, please PM me with details for the return.
  11. Dynamic Wines up on Lordship Lane opposite the cinema now open. Looks really lovely inside. A little bit of seating with free corkage. Bargain.
  12. I moved to ID Mobile about a year ago and have pretty good coverage locally now
  13. Does anyone know what is going in where God's Gift was? Looks to be under development. Excited about this. Hopefully a better spot for them. Any idea on when they are expected to be in the new site?
  14. EDT is a stalwart. However, think the Plough and Clockhouse a bit off of the main strip have been around for quite some time too, but changed so much they might as well be different pubs. Anyone remember Sunday night pub quiz at the Magdala (now the Lordship)? At half time, you got a sausage and chips as part of your £2 entry to the quiz. Then play your cards right at the end where you could win the pot of money. Used to be mobbed on a Sunday night!
  15. I remembered what it was called - Black Cherry. It wasn't particularly memorable 😄 Oh my gosh, blast from the past indeed. Loved Springers. Such a lovely restaurant / bar. Was gutted when the owners moved on.
  16. Yes, I remember that! Didn't last long. Can't remember the exact name. Was it where the Vietnamese now is?

  18. Albrighton Community Fridge take them now. Albrighton Community Fridge will now #RehomeYourElectricals! Just bring them to Albrighton Community Centre and drop off at reception Mondays-Sundays from 9am-6pm from 29 April 2024. Donate | Acfridge (albrightoncommunityfridge.org)
  19. I finally tried Dai Due Fratelli last weekend. They were so incredibly friendly. Really good pizzas and a good wine selection. Really reasonably priced. I urge everyone to support it.
  20. Went to Viet Flavours last night finally. For me it is a bit cramped and noisy. Initially, they tried to sit us on the same table as a group of four, which I was extremely uncomfortable with and surprised given that I had booked. Thankfully a couple left as we arrived and gave us their table. The food was quite good, although, my 'vegetable' curry was actually tofu with just one bit of veg. Staff were friendly, but rushing around. Had to ask for water refills and only got half a glass each time. Good wine selection and the house wine, which is a Chardonnay, is very good. For me, the pricing is a little too much for what feels like a very quick meal in a busy setting.
  21. Does anybody know if and when Chern is reopening?
  22. I have used Pishdar on Rye Lane a couple of times. Do on site quickly. Cash only.
  23. Oh my gosh, you were lucky. I live right next door to the school and thought it had struck my house! I watched one of the my windows wobble in the frame.
  24. Same issues. I've just switched to ID Mobile.
