  1. Just watched this - absolute classic with famous faces throughout including Dot Cotton and Brian Blessed. Filmed at various locations in Peckham inc Peckham Rye Train Station and the old Dulwich Hamlet ground. Circa 1974/5

  5. The Honor Oak Pub, Brockley Rise have a lovely indoor greenery wall. It's huge. May be worth taking a look and speaking to one of the staff about maintenance etc.

  9. Best in my opinion is always Dulwich Sports Ground - Giant Arches Rd, off Burbage Rd. Saturday 2nd. ?10 adults under 10s free. Doors 5pm, Bonfire 6pm, Fireworks 7pm. Very busy (and you can always get food and drink during/afterwards. You must purchase tickets via eventbrite beforehand (you cannot pay on the door!!) Oh, and it says no sparklers.

  11. Yes, I believe they accept all books in good condition. I have taken cookery books there in the past - no problem.
  12. Hi Daisy Your property is an additional hmo (smaller hmo for three or four persons) Mandatory hmos are for five or more unrelated persons. Most London local authorities consult with the London fire brigade and refer to Lacors guidance (google it) look at category A hmos from page 43. Single or two storey hmos usually require mains fed interlinked smoke detectors, three storey hmos require a full automatic fire detection system with a control panel. You normally need half hour fire doors throughout with intumescent strips/cold smoke seals and self closers. Best to speak to an enforcement officer at Southwark Council to be absolutely sure.

  16. I just had Sunday lunch at The Clink Brixton Prison and would highly recommend it. Lovely food, good service and very reasonable - ?30 for 3 courses. And you will be supporting a fantastic charity trying to reduce reoffending. Booking and security checks are necessary
  17. And everyone who lives in the roads surrounding the parks will be affected by those visiting them and wanting to avoid paying for parking and parking outside our houses instead.
  18. They always have them at Dulwich library (on the window ledge by the entrance door) if you don't get them delivered to your door.

  22. A small brown/white jack Russell dog just ran up Shelbury road, collar, no lead. No owner in sight. Wouldn't come to me. Did he just run out of the park. I'm worried about the main road nearby.
