  1. Definitely harder - it's taken me a week to get 37!
  2. Is anyone doing the new version of this? So far I have 37 out of a 100. It is evil....
  3. I agree, Minder... Kings Arms was the place to be on a Friday or Saturday in the early 70's! Went to my first dance in the rooms above. Such a shame it doesn't exist anymore.
  4. I'm only on page 3 and crying with laughter....I can't get the vision of the neon green poundland beaker out of my head!

Vik, sardine and tomato paste sandwiches were my favourite too - sometimes with mustard and cress, if it was a special occasion.... Now I'm off to make some spam fritters.

  11. Ahh - Holiday Camps.... stayed at Maddiesons in Littlestone from 65 - 69. Warners in Ryde in 1971 (fondly remembered as the place I had my first kiss). One in Great Yarmouth in the early seventies .... think the name was Elmhurst ?? Also the above mentioned Dolphin in Brixham in 1976. Some great and not so great memories!

  16. Without giving anything away ...it's a little more cryptic that the others.
  17. I did this a few months ago .... it kept me occupied for days! I was stuck on the guy with the TV and finally resorted to google - the answers have been posted so don't look if you want to complete it! It's very clever - I wish whoever did it would do some more.
  18. Is it 'The Kitchen House' - Kathleen Grissom?
  19. Sounds exactly our beagle, Mrs TP! Ours is 12 now, so slowing down a bit, but will do anything for food. We have to keep the door shut to the bathroom at all times because of the eating tissues thing (what is about used tissues and beagles?!) She epecially likes to chew pens/pencils, emery boards and drag the food shopping out of the bags if they are not put away quickly enough. A few months ago a whole loaf of raisin bread was devoured while I was putting the food away - dragged it behind the sofa stealth-like! Unfortunately it reappeared later. But she is adorable and we wouldn't be without her!
  20. I loved FLIP! I had just started going out with an American (now my husband) and I remember buying one of those American high school letter jackets for about 15 quid, and quite a few flannel plaid shirts. The denim racks were amazing.
  21. Vinyl 45 - Michelle, Beatles Vinyl LP - A K-Tel reggae compilation, circa 1969 CD - Eric Clapton, Unplugged Download - No idea
  22. Would never miss an issue of Jackie - also Fab 208!
  23. The South London Press newspaper has been around since the the late 1800's, try contacting them and see if they still have archived copies.
