The 1911 is available at Findmypast.com for a fee. If anyone is interested I can do a look up for you - I have a subscription. All I need is the address - you can search by address or name.

The Newlands in the seventies was fantastic. Saw Graham Parker and the Rumour there among many others.

We had one in our house in Rodwell Rd. If dug away the dirt you could still see the steps leading down to it, this was in the sixties.

I looked up the census returns for you - in 1891 it was a single family home. In 1901 it was a Camberwell Board of Guardians Home. There were 11 children, boys and girls, and one foster mother. In 1911 there were 24 children, boys and girls, and two foster mothers. The age range of the children were from 5 - 14. In 1911 there was no number 1 - they were listed as 3 and 3. Hope this helps! If anyone wants to PM me their address, I can look up who lived in your house on the 1901 or 1891 census. A policeman, wife and 5 children were in my old house in Rodwell Rd in 1901!

We used a spray bottle filled with water, set to fine mist, and sprayed around the doors and windows to stop our monsters coming in - son was a bit younger, about 2 I think, but it worked.... I let him spray it so he had some control. I didn't let him see me fill it with plain water though - it was clearly magic water! By the way - nothing wrong with bribing... whatever works! G
