  1. as Eileen explains above, "This was planned to *replace* in part the to-be-axed Victoria-London Bridge (South London Line(SLL) service", which I think passes Denmark Hill. Now, I'm pretty sure that many people in East Dulwich go to Denmark Hill to catch trains to London..
  2. I hate anything by Stock Aitken and Waterman

Amazingly, for some bizarre reason this post made me think of another song at around the same time called 'living by numbers' by new muzik (I liked that though)!

  5. I'm with Eileen. This appears to be a cancellation of a replacement for another to-be-cancelled service. In other words, not good for people who use Denmark Hill to get to the centre.
  6. Anyone know how quickly we can get the army in to lock down Dulwich Village?
  7. I say we lock down the entire world and prevent anyone from travelling anywhere for any reason. Anyone with me? P.S. I've heard unsubstantiated rumours that someone sneezed suspiciously in Dulwich Village this morning - I say we quarantine the whole filthy, disgusting place (DV that is, not ED, of course).

  16. very funny article in the Daily Mash online about this!
  17. I believe the phrase I'm thinking of rhymes with 'clucking bell'.

As I said above, it's already made more than the ?750 million it cost back in tax revenue and will continue making tax revenue for us. I propose that it never was a 'fiasco', it just wasn't given enough time. It was obvious (to me) that it would eventually work (i.e. generate money). Why do people expect things to work IMMEDIATELY?!?
  20. I'm sure that it's now generated more in tax revenue than it orginally cost (and will keep doing so). The kind of people that slagged it off in the first place had no vision whatsoever.
  21. I wouldn't be surprised if Brown was setup by the Home Office...
  22. I've just read that the O2 arena is the most popular venue in the world, selling more tickets than Madison Square Gardens. Oh, how I remember how the the entire media slagged the Dome off relentlessly for not making money within minutes of it opening. Now it does make loads of wonga, they're all silent! :))
