  1. Hi Pugwash. I dont know what part of Dulwich you are, but no post since Monday and still no delivery today. Two vans parked at end of street just to deliver four parcels. When ask along the street if they had had post and it was also a no. Wheatley,Pellatt,Rodwell seems to be some of the worst. I send 125 Christmas cards out a year and most send one back. So far ihave only 22 back, where are all the rest two Hospital appointments not received, bank card week over due, pension papers sent to me two weeks ago still not received. Is it due to walking from sorting offices or transport to Dulwich, it would be nice to know
  2. Ha Ha Ha. postman NEW to area was looking at post and looking down the street so i went Over to him and said are you looking for something, his reply was Lordship Lane. He was standing in Pellatt Road, my reply was at the end of the street. To me it said it all about new postman to area and if we will get post
  3. Good afternoon. I now think its time to say my views of my doctors centre. over the months I phone my doctors for a appointment any part of the day to find i am put in a queue, you wait and wait for someone to answer but when you get to you are second in line you can wait anything up to 30 minutes. A couple of times like today answer phone said YOU ARE NEXT IN LINE, This was answered in over a hour. My wife is with another doctors in Lordship Lane, they answer within 4 minutes and always fit you in for appointment or phone consultation that day or after. My doctor if you ring at 10.00 if they answer the phone to be told, No consultation and ring back tomorrow after 8.00 Asking reception why phone is not answered all you get is, all staff are busy on other jobs. Has any body had same problem.
  4. Hi Pugwash. Yes the same with me 11 days. letters stamped 12th August and nector points run out last week for Sansburys. I put message on yesterdays Forum and it has been taken of today. Seems no one wants to know what we are not getting.
  5. Well done to Peckham sorting office. Survey on South East sorting offices on delivery you come last. On Survey ending today. East Dulwich got some post after eleven working days, and before that nine working days. Speaking to one resident today who got post today the post marks on letters had 12th August,Sainsbury nexter points finished last Wednesday and hospital appointment for tomorrow 25th August letter dated 14th August. Went knocking on other residents doors and guess what the same answers. Please could someone give residents of streets off Lordship Lane some answers why, when the sorting office which was in Silvester Road would have regular post two or three days a week now ten working days. I WOULD SEND THE CERTIFICATE but i don't know if you would receive it the way the post is working
  6. I Quite disagree with some of these posts, to take down a statue and want to replace it with another. I say why in all of Southwark why pick on one man when Southwark has many that could be there, like Henry Cooper as one. Im not being silly just honest, Max Bygraves as another. On these Bases that they stood on why not modern art, there are plenty of Artists in Southwark that would love to see there work on displayed, So Kings Its your ground look into this.
  7. Just to let any one know. The Victims are the couple that live in the house Not the one trying to get into it. If someone even knocks on your door at 5.00 you got ask your self,WHY,WHO, and risk if opening door. Did he break in time will tell.
  8. Does Any Body know who owns Mini Bus Reg LX04 EUP and Van LV10 ZGM. They have been there a while and Has had People looking at them and trying to open doors. Both parked in Pellatt Road SE22 .
  9. -----PEOPLE as FOXES lived in the country side-------
  10. ------------POST TODAY---------- Four Letters Five packages, Three parcels had 48 hour post, two posted 4th May so they took nine days. This is quick as some have been waiting ten days.
  11. Tuesday 12th May 16.50 ......STILL NO POST..........
  12. Reply to above. The post box said 17.00 not 14.00. Any person posting a letter knowing its 17.00 would get it to the post box before that time. Hoping it would be there in a couple of days, but already one day now gone. As for social distancing, it was the passenger side and only had to open window 2 inches.
  13. Just a Note on pickup from post boxes. I went to the postbox a 14.00 last week to find the post van had picked up, when i tapped on his window and ask him if he could take my letter the reply was put it in the post box and drove off. The post box said 17.00 pick up, its not the first time this has happened. Most post office staff are very friendly and help you . NOT THIS ONE
  14. Spot on . Social distancing and washing should come first. To me masks would be showing you care for what is going on around us, the washing no one can see that only yourself. Spray everything i get even news papers. Don't go out much when i do its mask, gloves and spray. Im 68
  15. I think its time to wear masks when outside just to protect our self and other people around use. This includes when children wearing them on return to school. On Sunday Peckham Rye was Packed with people, how are police meant to police people who should know better and keep safe.
  16. Where has the postman gone in East Dulwich. been waiting for two jiffy bags over a week ago, Bank Statements due beginning last Monday. Since its been at Peckham it don't seem to arrive. Monday the 11th May and still no post ???????????
  17. Did any one see a young boy about 8 putting a homemade poster on the corner of Peckham Rye, Glover House Flats. The was a colourful VE day poster hand made. When i ask him what the poster meant he reply was Victory Day and freedom of people. I found this very moving that this boys family took the time to tell a boy so young the reason.I was told when i was young and never forgot my mum telling me what she went through together with my Grandparents
  18. Hi Slarti b . My Doctor is at Dulwich Medical Centre. Its worst at this centre. 1st you ring at 8.00 in the morning you get a engaged single this last for half hour, then they turn the system on, after a long message telling you about the surgery it comes up with seventh in line, this goes on for 20 minutes, when answered you get told no appointments and to top it staff phoned in sick so no conversations or ring backs, told if you have problem ring 111. I fought it was a service for the doctors to see sick people. This Medical centre has 6 rooms and no doctors and if there is one its a trainee. Most doctors surgerys if staff don't turn up they get a relive doctor or two not say that we have none today. One more point. James Barbers comment on after he intervened to get it running right which it did maybe he needs to see now what is going on in this surgery. If you want a appointment its three weeks wait or if you want to take a day off line up at 7.30 HAS ANY ONE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AT THIS SURGERY
  19. If you don't like the prices don't go. There are plenty that don't look at the price but to see a film in a great place, plenty of room, so if you want the run down, sometime dirty and less legroom , go to Peckham or even better get a membership at E/D/Picture house and get tickets, drinks and eats cheaper
  20. Hi Sillywoman . you cant be silly to want to revel in Bluebells, done it many a time and the nearest is Abbey Woods just passed the abbey. But the best place is Kent, you can lay in them and go to sleep (on a Sunny day)
  21. Notice to Pellatt Road Drug hand over between two cars one black and blue car. 12.00 Noon. This is now the nom they give address for pick up, change cars,go round the block, deal and come back again. so beware if possible get registration and post to forum
  22. Mr Barbar .I think the answer to Passiflor,Solar was a bit funny in your meaning as you don't know there backgroud as you worked for the council you should know this
  23. Hi Went to Henslowe garage meeting even if I have one at Bassano street. Over 20 there, time meeting 6.30 to 8.00 Was there for 40 minutes and no Mr Barber. I wish to say that the meeting at Dulwich Library was 4.00 t0 7.00 which I feel it was unfair to have meeting as a LOOOOOOOT of people don't finish 6.00 and by the time they get home its finished. Back to meeting again no garage department at meeting, No Mr Barbar, well not there by the time I left, maybe he will make it later as it goes on to 8.00 ??.He is the one that put the proposal forward to build houses. Again the council staff still answering to questions. I don't know about that. Good luck to garage to all the garage renters. and all at Bassano Street. The Masses of people in the area that want the garages to say as they are doesn't matter. I will sign off now as I had my say (but it don't really matter does it)
  24. There is a shortage of garages and this is anther one to go even if there was a meeting. Im one of those renters and when I went to meeting it seemed that it was only the residents of the houses around the site that they wanted to turn up and not the garage renters. We had our say but you know the outcome, as the council member was there and the developers showing planes. BUT no one from the council garage department
  25. Hi Yes went to meeting. Im a garage renter and seems waste of time to keep garages as there was no one from garage department to talk about 14 garages. Has any body at the council thought of the use of garages in the first place, to make secure parking of vehicles in Southwark. All I have to say is 14 renters for 4 houses, Well for the meeting you know which way which it will go.I was on the waiting list for two years, when we have to leave will the council treat us the same as council tenants and offer a garage in the area as we have no home to go to for our vehicle??????????????????
