  1. As part of the Artist Trail / Christmas Cracker celebrations this coming weekend, my friend Sarah Eyton (http://saraheytondesigns.co.uk/)will be exhibiting some of her lovely jewellery at the East Dulwich Picturehouse on Saturday and Sunday.

So if you are still looking for some special stocking fillers and Christmas presents, make sure to pop in and have a look. Some of her styles have previously been featured in Grazia, Vogue and Stylist and she?ll also be revealing a very new line of accessories for your canine and feline friends.

No, I have not been paid to say any of the above ? I just love her designs and want to support a friend and local artist :)

  2. Hi Si

We've been quite busy lately but we've never turned anyone away. However, it might be that you have to sit out quite a few matches in between.

Alternatively we also play Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm and have four courts then so a better chance to give it a go if that's suitable for you?

If Saturday mornings don't work (it's the morning after a Friday night after all..) there is also another session run on Friday nights in Harris Girls Academy from 8pm-10pm which has 4 courts for matches for all abilities and with the occasional tuition (sign up online via Fun Friday Badminton on Meet up or get one of their walk in slots on the day by turning up on time).

  3. I lost my oyster card this evening (Fri 24th) somewhere between Barry Road and Peckhamplex. It is in a coppery sleeve which slightly bigger than the card itself.

If by any chance you have come across it, please message me.

  4. Do you fancy a game of badminton on Monday nights?

We run a badminton session for adults every Monday from 7pm-9pm at Harris Girls' Academy East Dulwich Homestall Road, London SE22 0NR.

There are 3 courts available and we play doubles as well as mixed and if numbers permit you also get to play a few singles matches.

The standard is intermediate and up - so if play elsewhere on a regular basis and need a new challenge or you haven?t played in a while and want to get fit again, this is the session to try.

The cost is ?6.50 for two hours (first time you only pay ?3.50) and includes shuttles as well as friendly banter.

There is plenty of parking right outside the school and we are close to various bus stops: 484 & 343(2 min walk) and 63 & 363 (4min walk away)

So just bring yourself and your racket and come by some time.

  5. Hi there

Has anyone recommendations for a nice Spa / spa day in the South East (maybe including afternoon tea, massage, facial, pools etc)? A friend and I would like to spend a birthday being pampered somewhere in nice surroundings which is reachable by public transport but not necessarily in London.

I remember a few postings some time ago but couldn?t find them via the search engine. I have looked on Wahanda/ SpaSeekers but additional (and tested) suggestions would be very welcome :)

  6. One of the courts in Harris is sometimes rented out to private bookings to my knowledge. On the other hand, the clubs are friendly and you can pay as you go - so give it a try if you can't find a court to rent nearby.
  7. ah the Sarah story with the cheesy rings is hilarous!

not sure when the next meet up is taking place but in the meantime if anyone is interested - i seem to be one of the few people not having seen "untouchable" and now it is showing in peckham i thought i will go and watch it this coming sunday at 3.45pm. if anyone is also interested to come along and/ or meet for a coffee beforehand let me know.
