  1. looks like the looting has been taken to a new level - a friend of mine send me this and despite all the current ongoings it made me smile

and yes i am taking this whole thing serious but i think we have all expressed how terrible and serious the past days have been and how much we all care about our local commuty

  2. I second Ms B with the Fairfx card. Got one after it was recommended to me by friends and online and you can load it up to a certain amount of money in either Euro or Dollar (or even a mixed version). If you apply for it via moneysavingexpert there is no fee to get it and it is set up and working within a week.
  3. Hi there

Our office is planning a team day and people have decided they want to go to a pub which has a country pub vibe and old style games (not just darts and billiard but these old-fashioned things were you have to get wodden balls into holes and these kind - not that I know as so far I have not seen any of these mysterious games).

Now each employee has to make two suggestions and although I have been searching the web most places require too much travel (more than 1hour from Central London)or do not have any reviews.

Since this forum is such a wide pool of information I was hoping that some of you might know of a pub in or around London which you could recommend? Any suggestions welcome! :)

  4. i have used a lot of the 2for1 offers from that homepage (you can also pick booklets up from some trainstations which have vouchers at the back) and never had a problem. as long as you make sure you have a paper ticket and it is valid for the day you want to go you'll get the deal. have a lovely time!
  5. Not sure if this is of any help or if the person affected even gets to read this but I thought I try it anyway:

Yesterday the right wing mirror of a small red car parked just behind the bus stop on the crossing of Barry Road/ Uplands Road was ripped off/ badly damaged by another driver. I have noted down the number plate of the vehicle which seemed to have caused it and then drove off.

It didn?t look like the driver left contact details for the owner of the small red car. I have sent the details to East Dulwich Police Station in case this got reported as someone probably needs this for an insurance claim.

As there are so many readers on this forum I thought maybe there might be a chance that the owner gets hold of this information.
