@999Beauty can remain at current location (updated)
angiepangie replied to angiepangie's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Great news - I've just received been told that 999 Beauty have managed to reach an agreement with the landlord and canv stay on for the foreseeable future! -
Went for my mani/ pedi to @999 Beauty yesterday evening only to find out by the lovely staff that they had been informed in the morning they have to close down the shop by tomorrow 1st May. Some problems with the landlord- I obviously don't know the details but they've been there for over a decade and with such short notice they haven't been given a chance to not only find a new premise but to let their customers know. I've been a regular @999 for over 8 years, very happy and will miss them. They haven't told me to post here, this is on my own accord. Customers had the chance yesterday to leave their phone number, so once a new premise has been found they will send out a message. The landline will hopefully be transferred but obviously that has not yet been arranged or might not be possible. So in the meantime if you want to contact @999 Beauty to add your number - Please text it to 07595183245 Or call them on the landline today/tomorrow. Yes I've been given the okay by the owner to post the number and wanted to have a chance for them to at least give people the option to contact them in the future.

Had a great intro to bee keeping earlier this afternoon - so interesting to see a hive close up. Thank you Chick for the chance to learn about these little creatures right in the middle of Dulwich.

As part of the Artist Trail / Christmas Cracker celebrations this coming weekend, my friend Sarah Eyton (http://saraheytondesigns.co.uk/)will be exhibiting some of her lovely jewellery at the East Dulwich Picturehouse on Saturday and Sunday. So if you are still looking for some special stocking fillers and Christmas presents, make sure to pop in and have a look. Some of her styles have previously been featured in Grazia, Vogue and Stylist and she?ll also be revealing a very new line of accessories for your canine and feline friends. No, I have not been paid to say any of the above ? I just love her designs and want to support a friend and local artist :)

Monday night badminton at Harris Girls Academy
angiepangie replied to angiepangie's topic in What's on in East Dulwich
Hi Si We've been quite busy lately but we've never turned anyone away. However, it might be that you have to sit out quite a few matches in between. Alternatively we also play Saturday mornings from 9am-12pm and have four courts then so a better chance to give it a go if that's suitable for you? If Saturday mornings don't work (it's the morning after a Friday night after all..) there is also another session run on Friday nights in Harris Girls Academy from 8pm-10pm which has 4 courts for matches for all abilities and with the occasional tuition (sign up online via Fun Friday Badminton on Meet up or get one of their walk in slots on the day by turning up on time). -

Do you fancy a game of badminton on Monday nights? We run a badminton session for adults every Monday from 7pm-9pm at Harris Girls' Academy East Dulwich Homestall Road, London SE22 0NR. There are 3 courts available and we play doubles as well as mixed and if numbers permit you also get to play a few singles matches. The standard is intermediate and up - so if play elsewhere on a regular basis and need a new challenge or you haven?t played in a while and want to get fit again, this is the session to try. The cost is ?6.50 for two hours (first time you only pay ?3.50) and includes shuttles as well as friendly banter. There is plenty of parking right outside the school and we are close to various bus stops: 484 & 343(2 min walk) and 63 & 363 (4min walk away) So just bring yourself and your racket and come by some time.

I can second this - friendly atmosphere, good matches and great value for money :)

I treated myself to a fantastic massage yesterday with Chrissie from Mayday massage. Not having had to one for a while my back was feeling rather tense from sports and sitting in front of the pc all day but Chrissie took time to find my problem spots and even included accupuncture. Having recommended her here a long time ago already I can just say it again: if you are looking for a proper firm massage rather than a soft back rub then this is for you (and no I do not get paid for saying this :) I am just still feeling great and can move my shoulders again properly). Her details: 07595 459 895 / http://www.maydaymassage.com

Delays in receiving mail & missing mail
angiepangie replied to Tykeinexile's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I have been waiting for a couple of letters that were posted beginning of last week - still no sign of them. Bills have come through as normal though without delays unfortunately. -
Cosmonaut - Badminton at Harris on Monday nights is on from 7-9pm / ?6.50 and on Saturdays from 9am-12pm/ ?7.50 - great bunch of people and a lot less busy than Friday evenings. (they are all a lot better players than me though)

Thanks for the suggestions :)

Hi there Has anyone recommendations for a nice Spa / spa day in the South East (maybe including afternoon tea, massage, facial, pools etc)? A friend and I would like to spend a birthday being pampered somewhere in nice surroundings which is reachable by public transport but not necessarily in London. I remember a few postings some time ago but couldn?t find them via the search engine. I have looked on Wahanda/ SpaSeekers but additional (and tested) suggestions would be very welcome :)

Try Amida Spa Beckenham

One of the courts in Harris is sometimes rented out to private bookings to my knowledge. On the other hand, the clubs are friendly and you can pay as you go - so give it a try if you can't find a court to rent nearby.
