  1. Main thing is prepping the surface to be weed free, and level, and to do it quickly, once the turf arrives, and not to tread on it, until established. Clock is ticking, once it is delivered... You will have your own views on use of products -vs- what you want to spend & environmental impact, so would be happy to discuss these with you first. I've good availability this week & next, and charge ?12ph Give me a ring on 07782372990, if you'd like to discuss, or have any other gardening needs. Paul
  2. I'm a great cook - regularly do a cooked breakfast for our 2x kids, in the village. Out of work, presently, so looking for creative ways to make money. If you let me know how many ppl, dietary requirements, plus an idea of how much you want to spend, I will put together a plan for you. Beyond a certain size, we could do Burgess park, which allows barbecues. I've also a garden, and a small event shelter, if you want to combine with some kind of activity (i.e. yoga, or running, use of multi gym in the park) (Top tip: separate the yolks when scrambling eggs - the yolks need far less cooking, for both max yum, and nutrition!)
  3. Hello, I've also sent a PM. Paul 07782372990
  4. Hello, Really depends on what you want the finished article to be. I.e. what type of Roman blinds. Have a look online i.e (eBay, Amazon) at the various kits available. Perhaps you already have a good idea of the type of thing you are after. If the curtains are thin / regular enough, you could have the roller type blinds, but I'm guessing you have been quoted for pleated drop folds. These generally have the cheapest mechanism, but require the most work. Some time can be saved by using wondaweb to attach the dowels (which also offers a superior finish, as you won't see the stitching. Either way - would be happy to do this for you. Added bonus - you will probably get to meet my mum! Cheers, Paul 07782371990
  5. I'm great with curtains. Can provide recommendations. Free today, and can pop over, if you like. Paul 07782371990
  6. Hi there, I would be happy to help you with this. I've some direct personal experience, having switched to a paleo / keto / intermittent fasting based routine. In the last few years, I've dropped about eight belt notches & gone from wheezing when trying to pull weeds from the lawn, to reasonably good fitness. I checked my BP, at Oak lodge, the other day, and it was the same as an average 15yr old! I am not working, at the moment, having quit me job at the start of the year. Luckily, I negotiated a decent exit, so am not desperate for cash. I would therefore be happy to pass on what I've learned, for free. I probably can't legally charge for nutrition advice, anyway, as I'm not qualified or anything. However, I think I could offer more, by way of direct practical help. For example - you probably already know what you _should_ be doing; the clue is in the name, after all - no fermentable oligo, disaccharide, mono, etc. What I can help you with, is some decent advice on how to deal with the cravings for the bad stuff. (Top tip - willpower won't do it, knowledge is key!). I will come over, and help you with meal prep, sorting your cupboards, shopping, etc & share with you some good "biohacks" that I have learned, that will get your digestive tract a nice boost. Please do get in touch, I would be really pleased to help. Having felt terrible, most of the time, and thinking that it was normal, I feel a kind of duty, or calling, to help others in that situation. I'm on aysgarth road, in the village - is that nearby? All the best, Paul Widdecombe 07782371990
  7. Just the kind of crazy venture that I love to get involved in, My sense of self preservation is screaming at me not to do it... Have you gotten advice from professional piano movers? Presumably either too short notice, or too high cost. I'm sure if you phone around, you will find somebody willing to offer some decent guidance, if nothing else. As I'm sure you already appreciate, pianos, esp. grands, weigh an incredible amount. Anywhere btw 3-600kg upwards. Do you have any idea of the weight, or is that something you are able to look up, by make / model? Block and tackle are good up to a ton, but then you will need something to attach and move it on. I'm thinking there are essentially three options on that: 1) Gantry. Not sure if a suitably sized gantry, i.e. with a sliding mechanism is readily available. Maybe you could find a metal fabricator willing to rig up a temporary gantry with a sliding track, on a section of girder, or something. 2) scaffold hoist. Probably too weak. Any kind of cantilevered solution and you are likely moving towards the third option 3) mobile crane. I.e. a flatbed truck, with a telescopic crane, or a telehandler, of some kind. Depending on the value of the piano, cost may not be as bad as you might expect. In terms of the sash window, I would be happy to do this bit for you. It is a fairly simple task of separating off the various parting beads, which can then be reglued & painted over, if done carefully. Can I suggest another option? Build a ramp up and down, using some OSB boards, then use ratchet straps / pulleys, manpower, to get her up and over the wall(s) There is no picture attached, currently. I love piano, so will deffo try to be there for you - whatever you decide to do! Call / txt me any time. Paul 07782372990
  8. Hello, I had to escape from my office bound IT job, as my passion is fixing things. Forget about DIY - time is money, so Get Someone In (Me!) Any small jobs around the house, or garden. I can fix up furniture, clothing, toys, cars, boats, computers (obvs, *yawn*...). I've installed kitchens, bathrooms on my own & am happy doing any decorating jobs you might have, big or small. Also happy to do any man & van local errands, with my long wheelbase transporter. I'm looking to get established in the area, so bargain basement rates - literally no job too small. My main thing is that I enjoy helping people out. Give me a ring, even if it's just for help with clearance / reorganisation. Paul 07782 371990
  9. Hello, It isn't clear if you already have the shed, and/or whether the base is prepared. Most carpenters these days don't bother with sheds, as they are so cheaply available as kits. In terms of price, you can pay whatever you want. For a 12 X 12, assuming you don't already have one, you can expect to pay upwards of ?1k, at the lower end, right up to 3k for a western red cedar shed, which is about as good as it gets. I.e. will look gorgeous, and will never rot. The most important thing is to prepare the ground. There was somebody on this forum advertising a load of free paving slabs recently. These would be ideal. I can help you get these in & ensure a nice level base, with good drainage, for you. Without this, even a really good quality shed will only last a few years. Putting the shed up will typically take less than an hour. This company charges fifty quid - less than their delivery charge! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOTAL-PENT-GARDEN-SHED-TOP-QUALITY-TIMBER-WOODEN-SHED-TOTAL-SHEDS-/282687660310 Happy to discuss, if you need any more advice. Paul 07782371990
  10. No no, me - I do it, plzzzz! Twenny quid! (Assuming it is a simple swap over into existing wiring.)
  11. Hello, I've dm'ed you. Firstly, I assume you've contacted your GP? I know they often miss things, but will often be happy to refer you. I know a number of people who have fixed their own metabolism / autoimmune / inflammation based disorders, when doctors have told them that nothing was wrong. Best approach is to try cutting common allergens, before moving to a full elimination diet. I'm quite passionate about this kind of thing & would be pleased to share with you my own health journey. You should be feeling great, if you are in your 20s! Please do get in touch. If nothing else, I can give you some insights into cravings / addictions. Paul
  12. Is there an existing fitting, and / or is there wiring nearby that can be connected? Presumably you already have a switch. Assuming all of these things, it should only take an hour or so.
  13. Are you one of the thousands with an established yoga practise, who struggles with the whole getting up bastard early, to hit the mat, part? Needing help finding that self sustaining routine? Let me help - I used to be a duvet fiend, but am now into the whole "get things moving" approach to mornings. I will come over, wake you up & run through a 60min sequence with you, either at your place, in a park, or at a yoga studio if your choosing. Note - I am not a yoga teacher, just a student with a number of years practise under my belt, so this shouldn't be seen as a substitute for guidance by a qualified instructor. Hence I'm only asking for ?10ph. Ridiculously cheap - but better than doing it in my garden, on my own, for nowt! (Which I do currently, anyway) I'll even cook breakfast, now and again. I'm very good with the art / science of nutrition / weight loss & can introduce you to a number of useful "life-hacks" that may help you out of binge / low energy patterns.
