  1. Like I said before, you either allow all, religion in the workplace or you don?t that is the fairest way.
  2. Good point, but you tend to find people like that will put animals first.
  3. Tesco & Sainsbury's & Ocado
  4. Fire work display, since the health & safety brigade stick there nose in and if there are it will soon be a fading memory.
  5. Rag & Bone Man - use to give me a Goldfish:)
  6. What I meant is high profile case, like the BA employee Nadia Eweida and Nurse Shirley Chaplin highlighted some Christians are being discriminated. My main point is either you allow religious dress or jewellery or you don?t have any at all in the work place. And to say Christians wanting be victims is silly - you have not met the type of Christians I know they give as good as they get
  7. It looks like,we are all in some sort of agreement on this issue
  8. She just once to study art, and then decided what field later. ;-)
  9. Iam a tax payer too H
  10. Yes it defiantly is, there some work places where you cannot wear certain Christians items but they allow other faiths to wears them only because it has been in the papers recently things have slighty changed I know first hand.
  11. Do you think animal rights activists have a right to intimidate and terrorise staff who work in companies like Huntingdon Life Sciences? I was horrified to read how far they are willing to go. For me, groups like this tend to lose support when you start to intimidate companies, send hoax bombs and destroy lives.
  12. I don?t agree Minkey, I think nowadays Christians are more so discriminated especially in the work place there have been high profile cases to proof this.
  13. Exactly my point, Aquarius Moon your daughter is one of the students who needs EMA and to say that they should cut it. Is wrong there some students who do abuse the system but don?t penalise everyone that is, unfair my daughter has one more year before she goes to art college this will defiantly help her and others like her. It funny how the government makes these decisions and they themselves had grants and financial assistants but they want to deny others.
  14. That is the Tories for you
  15. That would be interesting?
  16. Is the Enterprise Allowance Scheme Similar to YTS? If so then great this will help a lot of students who not necessarily academic like myself who had to struggle with dyslexia and other issues but in the end I was a determined person I wanted to succeed.
  17. I will look out for him, thats where I live
  18. I agree with Reggie, on this one
  19. That all depends what, culture you are brought up in there are plenty of minorities that still attends churches on Sundays and Saturdays and they are full as well as other faiths like Islam Judaism. My husband and I are spiritual although I don?t attend church regularly and he does not regularly attend a synagogue. As for faith schools that and individual choice, I don't feel it is discriminatory at all.
  20. I can see all points of view, being made on this thread but I have to say yet again EMA helps a lot of students like I said earlier I did receive a grants and went on to a part-time job but my grades did suffer as working long weekends and trying to do my school work, I was quite fortunate there was a scheme called YTS and I went on to that it help me in my profession.
  21. Be sadly missed:(
  22. I understand your point Zeban a very valid one, I myself had help but in those days it was called a grant and it did help me a lot it would have been a struggle for my mum to support me other wise. If I did not have that help the pressure for me would have been to leave school early and find work to help support the family. That is why I am coming from this pint of view if this helps a student further there education without pressure of finance then it is a great thing.
  23. I am surprised DJKQ, in a lot of your previous threads you tend to champion low income families or anyone of a disadvantage yet you and Zeban, will deny those students that this will help and not all students are not trustworthy I know a few students whose parents are on low incomes and it helps them. And for your information there are some students that do have part-time jobs.
  24. I disagree with you DJKQ, the EMA does help a lot of students with costs books travel expenses etc.... not all abuse the system and it helps poor income families otherwise you will just have larger dole queue
  25. I Feel many students with parents on low income ,will be the most affected by these cuts. The EMA has been their only chance of a little financial independence at a time in their lives when it's most important."
