Thread of merged messages about incidents outside ED
Lotty replied to Administrator's topic in The Lounge
I have just heard that trouble may be brewing again in Peckham, and that there is a fire near MacDonalds, in Camberwell. Can anyone confirm whetehr this is true? -
Absolutely gobbled by the little blighters! My arm is a swollen mess today!
-
I would also be very interested. I can knit lots of hats:-)

The one at the Plough is good. It usually starts at about 8.30ish, and has plenty of competition. I highly recommend it.

A mugging on Underhill road 24th May
Lotty replied to Brian Tee's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Sorry to hear about your son. I wonder whether it was the same gang that targeted me, my husband and a couple of friends a few weeks ago. There were three of them on bikes, one of which was silver. We reported it to the police. -
Attempted mugging on Marmora Road (22nd Feb)
Lotty replied to StevoR's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We were approached by three youths (probably aged 14 or 15), all on bikes, between Underhill Road and Barry Road last night. They initially asked for money, and then, when we were unable to give any, started to circle us menacingly. The one on the smaller bike then grabbed hold of a bollard and tried to pelt my husband, managing only to clip him in the mouth, thankfully. Sounds like it could be the same gang? We were just approaching Barry Road at the time. -
OMG! I hope no one was hurt?

I'm not quite sure to be honest. I guess it looks as if it has been taken off rather than ripped off, and my feeling is that it would have been thrown into a front garden if it was vandalism now I think about it, but I am just not sure really. Damned annoying tho! Really winds me up!

We have a very old saab, and we are both quite hacked off about it!

Hi, Has anyone found a windscreen wiper in their garden? We went out in our car the other day, and noticed that some little blighter had ripped the rear window wiper off, whilst it was parked down the Dulwich Library end of Barry Road. Thanks, Lots

What to do about all the dog pooh in Dulwich?

I trod in a recurring mound of poo on Barry Rd yesterday! Was a grim end to the day! -
Hi, Can anyone recommend a hotel in Greenwich/ Blackheath, suitable for a wedding night please? Thanks, Lotty

Barry Road closed at the junction with Underhill Road
Lotty replied to happyED's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Police told us it was an 'armed incident' at the top of Barry Road. No sign of anything now. Anyone know more? -
We waited just over an hour for ours the other day, having been promised a 30 minute wait! They were pretty 'chilled' when they arrived, but quite tasty I suppose. Think I'll go for a more local option next time. Firezza in herne Hill are excellent!

How horrendous! I am really sorry to hear about your neighbour, and hope that she is ok? What on earth is going on down Barry Road?! It used to be such a lovely street, but now seems to be becoming pretty terrifying to be out on late at night. What time did this happen? Where abouts down Barry Rd?

Yes; I have been off work with it for a couple of days - nasty fever, stomach cramps, dizziness, throwing up and diarrhea. it's really not nice at all!!!

I might make a debut appearance, but how will I know the EDF crew from large groups of people??!! -
Wow! It's amazing. I was bothered by privacyu to begin with, but, thinking about it, it really is no different to walking around neighbourhoods. I am busily googling my own memory lane :-)
