Roof terrace permitted by southwark Council?
Napoletano posted a topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi all, my boyfriend and I would like to purchase our loft space from the southwark council (freeholder). Did anyone have any similar experience? Was the pre-application worth it? Do you know if southwark council allows to have a roof terrace? Thanks. -
Hi Tom, how did it go? We are in a similar situation now and it would be useful to have some feedback. Did you use the pre-planning service?did you do a loft conversion and ask for a terrace? Many thanks in advance for your help.

A leasehold flat buying Freehold from Southwark council

Thanks :) the other flat is rented by the Council as well, so probably the best option is to buy the share of freehold, if they agree? -
A leasehold flat buying Freehold from Southwark council

Hi, thanks for your response. Have you had any experience with Southwark Council as a freehold? Do they usually allow to buy the share of freehold? In our case the loft is owned by the Council and the roof is in a bad conditions so we are trying to understand what is the best thing to do. Thanks for any suggestion, advise. -
Hi all, we are trying to buy a first floor flat where the Council is the freeholder ld but it seems... Complicated. The council is also the owner of the first floor flat which is rented. We should also ask for permission for anything. The loft is not part of the purchase and the roof needs to be replaced. We need to understand what is the best thing to do. Were you able to buy the share of freehold from the Council? Any suggestions and recommendations are highly appreciated. Thanks
