It's generally worth checking the petitions to parliament because the gov has to respond to these, including considering it for a debate, once they get past 100,000 – so at least it gets noticed. There is one here https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/619781 that calls for a general election to decide who should take this mess forward. It's already over 500k so due for a response but still worth signing.

We have a shared sewer with neighbour and in the past when there has been a problem, such as a blockage, the council has come to sort it. So unless the rules have changed (this was a while ago) you're right, and the council is responsible for this. No idea which dept, environmental health?

I think this is it... but she's had a good innings as they say, and had good health until very recently, not a bad thing to die in your own bed with your family with you.

I think the issue is about support in the classroom. Exclusions can happen because there's not enough help for a child who needs extra attention, which therefore means the whole class is affected. I think Southwark are doing the right thing by keeping children in school wherever possible, let's hope the teachers get the appropriate help to manage this.
