I'm another older person (pensioner). I love this cafe, they've done fantastic work providing meals for NHS workers, agree with NewWave, plenty of more important things to complain about for goodness sake!

Nice little earner (penalty charge notices in Dulwich)

Wow.. where did you get this figure from? My FOI request came up with nearly 9000 from when enforcement began (November?) to 29 January, so this would be a huge escalation - and proof that it's a signage issue rather than deliberate lawbreaking! -

Survey for Elderly Citizens regarding online library application
sjsl replied to studentem's topic in The Lounge
Yes, as a probably elderly person, I agree with these comments. There is plenty of information out there re making communications of any kind, including websites, clear and legible. And yes, it should be possible for the user to control the text size, making it larger if necessary. Your research might be helped by talking to relevant groups such as Help the Aged, RNIB etc. From September 2020, Web Accessibility Regulations build on existing obligations for public sector websites and apps to be accessible, the RNIB has a factsheet on this which might be useful. -

Brilliant, can't wait for the next instalment! -
Agree, first give them a chance to absorb what you said re the impact and see if there is any attempt to improve the situation. If no better then follow the other suggestions re talking to the landlord/other freeholder. Hope things improve, it must be very difficult for you both.

Agree KK, the problem with the suggestion of applying the rules with more authority, there just aren't the resources/manpower... if there were more community policeman it would help but they aint there. You can't expect stallholders etc to enforce the rules.

I've written to the head of the council [email protected], and filled in an online form (which will probably take forever to reach anyone). MP [email protected] is also a good idea and I've already emailed her.
