Ideally I imagine it should be separated from household waste as it's a public health hazard, just like you'd put nappies in strong bags after wrapping them up. Dog poo does seem to be everywhere so I definitely think there should be more dog poo bins again. Again back to cost I imagine. Round in circles we go!

I won't bother grumbling about the traffic chaos the roadworks and temp traffic lights are causing (on top of LTN road closures meaning no side road plan B) but how does everyone feel about the pavement widening? Surely will mean M&S delivery lorries now have to park and block half the road/ traffic and anyone disabled can no longer park right outside the store, albeit there is another store on Lordship Lane. Seems a bit odd, not sure of the thinking behind this decision to block up the parking spaces and widen the pavement. Anyone know more? Thanks

Not if someone wheels over it with a pram or a heavy footed person steps on it and it hasn't been tied up or is tied but explodes everywhere. Yuk! Agree we definitely need dog poo bins back again, particularly near Peckham Rye park, along Crystal Palace Road, and by Goose Green.

Derelict Grove Tavern - who to contact?

Really interesting.. I recently saw a campaign for more places for teens to hang out. At first I thought there are plenty of places but that really isn't true, especially since consecutive governments reduced funding into youth clubs and community centres so most are privately run by charities now. More needs to be done, as screens are fine for a while but can be so addictive and hinder social interaction -
Council come and clean up next day if you report fog mess. Brilliant

Thanks for flagging, I will write to Ellie Reeves and James McAsh - as you say local councillors often slower to respond than MPs but I think they sometimes have 2 jobs?

Hi there, Anyone interested in a summer meet up for boys starting Y7 at St Thomas Apostle school in September? Please private message me. Thanks!

I had my nails done by Sofia a week last Friday and they're really lasting well, no chips so far! +44 7467 626325 Call to book or she's also on Instagram but they take a high percentage of each booking needless to say! Lovely little room where she does nails, personal service with tea and biscuits.. nice calm environment. Highly recommended!

If you have any experience dealing with local authority or insurance company please can you private message me, as I would appreciate advice and to hear from someone who's been successful in having a tree causing damage removed from the pavement outside house. I love trees but it doesn't seem sensible to have planted species which are growing or will grow into tall/large trees and need somewhere for their roots to grow... huge problem in this area (stumps and empty patches in pavements galore) especially with clay soil already causing some soil movement. Thanks and hopefully no rude replies. Seem to be some on here with too much time, ready to attack or with sarcastic comments.

Melbourne Grove South CPZ consultation

We've only just had a flyer with a QR code and I assume this was from opposition as opposed to the council. We live round the corner from Northcross Rd so it will be one of the roads affected. I'm in despair about the LTNs already, which are deeply unpopular aside from those who benefit by living on quieter roads with little traffic, or those able to work from home and freely cycle everywhere with no time demands. Controlled parking is just another money maker for the local authority, who appear to have less and less funds for vital public services... sad and frustrating. -

Wonderful new nail salon in Oru - Nails by Sofia
EDmummy101 replied to EDmummy101's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Nope she wasn't a friend, it was the first time we had met and she was lovely... highly recommended 🙂 Anyone on here in theory could post for friends or post fake reviews. I'm simply trying to be nice and spread the word about someone who does a very good job in a lovely calm space, in contrast to most nail salons where you're in a busy place and no personal touch, no conversation and definitely no herbal tea and biscuits! Approximately 6 😉 Off peak slightly cheaper, depends on what type of manicure. Mine was classic as I don't like gels (£27 on Treatwell but then they take a percentage so best to book directly). Sofia has an offer on first time clients who book directly. -
Just had a fabulous manicure (complete with herbal tea and biscoff 🙂 ) by SOFIA, based in an upstairs room in Oru. Honestly polar opposite of most nail salons where you're welcomed in to a bustling shop full of people and chemical smells from nail polish remover etc. This little salon is a light and airy room where you can see the sky and look at a vase of daffodils whilst Sofia is giving you a manicure and lovely hand massage! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Instagram account : https://www.instagram.com/sofia.nailtherapys?igsh=MW1lbGt3OXN4MjZrOA%3D%3D&utm_source=qr To book directly e-mail : [email protected] or call: 07467626325

Last night thieves stole our catalytic converter from outside our house at around 8.30pm. 4 masked men, 1 with a metal bar. Just heard the chainsaw or whatever they used and sparks flying. Neighbour filmed it and we both called the police. Both on hold for 5 minutes to 999 before call was answered. Police didn't show up after reporting. Kids witnessed all this and were scared stiff. Stuff of nightmares, like watching a movie.

Got food poisoning from a rice and prawn dish on Friday night. Arrived lukewarm which is always a worry. Has anyone else had similar experience? Food has been good in the past but won't be getting takeaway from there again.
