  1. I'd definitely be up for a petition.. we have some great local councillors who I am sure we could persuade to be supportive, along with Helen Hayes MP who is very very proactive in many ways on different issues. We also have the fab Caroline Pidgeon Lib Dem rep living in the area and other famous bods like Jenny Eclair, Cathy Newman from Ch4 news and others, I wonder if we could get support on social media too :)
  2. Lots are under utilised - one on our road has 2 empty spaces but when I emailed Cycle Hoop they confirmed they do not monitor usage, so if someone pays for the year they have the space for the year, even if they move away or sell their bike for example. I really feel there should be more monitoring by Cycle Hoop but not sure how we would put pressure on / change their mind so they took this action. I have had 2 spaces on various road lists for 18 months and still 67 on my road and 17 is the highest up I am on a nearby road. I wonder if the council might be more prepared to install some cycle stands like this one as they take up less space and can be easily mounted on the pavement: https://www.thebikestoragecompany.co.uk/product/the-sheffield-cycle-stand-galvanised/?gclid=CjwKCAjw8df2BRA3EiwAvfZWaH9Ebmu4AC3IRf_DNweOTO5bHWA1O4hSNk0iQBcjS6_fl8_u_xJNzRoCga8QAvD_BwE

  9. Not sure if you can still sign up but this is a great way of supporting a business in the area that cannot run owing to the situation with Coronavirus - I've had a peek at day 1 and it is full of fun stuff, from making a rocket booster pack and disguise to writing and recording your own little rascal rap :)
  10. You can get cards from Amazon that you plant and they grow into sunflowers :) nice idea to write cards to friends and family... The East Dulwich Mummy website has heaps more links and ideas :)
  11. Sharing a post from Nimble Arts (fantastic holiday club) who have used their creative skills to come up with a VIRTUAL holiday club this Easter :) ?20 per family so a complete bargain and saviour for working parents like me! For more info and to register click here [https://www.nimblearts.co.uk/nimble-adventurers-live] As promised we have been working hard to bring the magic and creativity of Nimble Arts directly into your home while we're all in lockdown. And today we're opening sign up for our Nimble Adventurers Creative Virtual Holiday Club for 4-11's from 6th - 17th April! The registration fee is only ?20 per family (not on Magic Booking but via a sign up form - see below!) - have a watch of the introductory video to see what it's all about: The daily adventures are designed around a narrative that will come to life the more parents and carers play along - you can go really big here throwing yourself into the missions each day, or help your children get set up with what they need and then escape for a little time just sitting and staring...! We haven't differentiated the adventures by age - again this is something you can bring to life for a 4 year old, 8 year old, 10 year old - whoever you've got! They can meet the challenges at their own level. They'll have an online 'class' on a system called Class Dojo to join (with you managing the login) where they can post everything they've made and get live feedback with children their age. We'd recommend a daily timetable of: 10.00 - 10.15 Crack the code sent each morning on Class Dojo (you'll get a login for this when you sign up) and read through the daily tasks 10.15 - 11.15 Task 1 11.15 - 11.45 Break 11.45 - 12.45 Task 2 12.45 - 1.30 Lunch 1.30 - 2.30 Task 3 2.30 - 3.00 Break 3.00 - 4.00 Task 4 Then at 4pm children will receive a message on the success of their mission! If you're ready to sign up visit: https://www.nimblearts.co.uk/nimble-adventurers-live ... and then await further instructions and a top secret message from Professor Nimblino! We really look forward to you joining us and sending all best wishes for a healthy and happy few weeks! The Nimble Arts Team [email protected] 0333 014 2576
