  1. Good work Nigello! Would be a 30 minute walk each way for me. But you won't find any blocked street drains on my patch!
  2. The expression "why have a dog and bark yourself" comes to mind. We all pay council tax so that Southwark provide services like leaf clearing and street sweeping. Whilst it's easy to do it ourselves, if it's not reported to the council they won't know there's a problem hot spot and won't assign resources to it in the future. Not very public spirited of you Spartacus! We could all ignore neighbourhood issues and leave them for the council to deal with, or with a simple act clear the leaves and prevent a bigger community problem.
  3. Why not get your wellies on and go unblock the drains? Probably leaves and plastic bottles stuck in the street drain grids. It's not rocket science!?
  4. Sorry to hear that Kathryn. There's a lot of it going on at present. Down my street an Amazon delivery man even had his van stolen whilst he was at a neighbour's door! He ran down the street chasing it, but to no avail!! Have to ask though, why would you leave the 3 boxes outside by the bay window for 2 hours after you saw the Delivery Man drop them off?
  5. Hello Eri77 I live in West Dulwich too. Thanks for sharing your experience with 'A1 Roofing'. Sean just rang my doorbell and said he's working in the area and offered his services. Matched your description perfectly. I told Sean he's on the East Dulwich Forum as a rogue trader and that he stole someone's ladder. He said he's just taken it back. I told him I'm NOT interested in whatever services he's offering and sent him away with a flea in his ear. Last seen walking hastily away talking on his mobile phone. Beware West Dulwich residents - Sean & A1 Roofing are door knocking in our area right now! Cheers, Super Sleuth.
  6. Old College Gate Welcome to Dulwich Park sign - close-up photo for Parking info - taken Wednesday 4th March 2020 - could come in handy when the 'Grace Period' expires!
  7. Walked through the park Sunday afternoon and counted 10 cars with parking tickets! And several shocked car owners returning to their vehicles to find unexpected tickets under the windscreen wiper!! Also noticed the Dulwich Park 'Old College Gate' entrance on College Road has an outward facing Park Information board welcoming visitors and advising next to a big blue P icon "Free Parking in Marked Bays Only". No mention anywhere of the newly introduced ?2 an hour charge!! Come on Southwark - if you're going to introduce a tax on park users, at least make it clear to drivers entering the park that parking charges now apply!!
  8. Hello Worldwiser. Could the Reg have been NA65 OTC? That Reg is a Grey Audi Q3 (2Lt Diesel). What does your passenger's photo show?
