Found on Tuesday evening (March 22) in Crystal Palace Road, opposite Gumboots nursery. Small, white and black cat with a shiny pink collar. The cat had been attacked by a fox, and was injured. So after a stay at the neighbours,( I couldn't take her in as I have a cat of my own)she was transferred to The Neighbourhood Vet,on Peckham Rye, this morning. She is being patched up and cared for by the staff there. Let's hope we can reunite her with her owner soon.

I spoke to a couple of the workmen the other day. They told me that there will be more ladies loos and that some of the more comfortable seats in what used to be the lounge bar will be put back, after they have been re-upholstered. There are now notices in the windows to recruit all sorts of fancy staff!!! We will have to wait and see!

I totally agree with the good things written about the new vets. Amber and Ingrid, the nurse, came to mine to fetch my semi-feral cat. Amber brought him back after treatment, safe and sound, a few hours later. The whole practice go the extra mile for the animals and their owners. Very impressed with them.

I also had reason to use the new practice and found the staff very helpful and accomodating. Well worth a try and so much more friendly than the Lordship Lane practice.

Let's all wait and see what happens before we moan. As some have said, the pub could have been closed all together. And I happen to think that it is the customers who make the pub. So don't give up on somewhere because it looks different.

I heard that they were looking for a gun. -
It would be a good idea to use a lead but i dont think the cat would like it as I can't even pick him up! I adopted him and think he had a bad upbringing. But I am still very fond of him nevertheless.

A previous cat of mine would come into the pub where I went !! Sometimes she ran on ahead of me and waited for me to open the door for her!! My present moggy is not that bold-yet!!

Not a drop had passed his lips.Honest!! He waits outside for me!! Not so sure he will be so keen in future though after last nights close call !!

This is just a long shot, but I would like to say a huge thank you to the driver that slowed down outside the CPT late on Friday night as my cat ran into the road in front of their car. He had just been visiting his favourite watering hole with me and my heart was in my mouth as he excitedly ran into the road. Thank goodness for the careful driver of the car. I hope he or she reads the forum and gets this message. Thank you again

I spent 4 and a half hours on a 176 going from KCH to The Sea Cow !! Couldn't risk walking with a bad foot. Met some nice people though. And what a cheer as we finally got down Dog Kennel Hill !!!!! -

thomas thomas replied to SCSB79's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Have you heard the one about the cat called TomTom who, when an attempt was made to rehome him, found his way back to his original owner!!! He must have used his Cat Nav!!! True story-not a joke!!!Enjoy the match though it looks as if Craig Gordon is out of the running to start. -

The CPT has the facility to show 2 different channels so it may be worth a try. -
Whether its crumble or pie, don't forget the cloves!!

Why not suggest it?I think to a certain extent tne BBQs seem to be a moveable feast{pardon the pun!!} I'm sure if there was enough demand Ross could be persuaded!! And as you say, FnB, one could kill the eating and drinking birds with one stone!!!
-
I hope not. Unless you mean that the Aussies will be on their way to Heathrow in the evening????
-
As they have two screens in the bar maybe it will be possible to show both the footy and the Ashes? Lets hope so.
-
I have heard from several sources that the Sunday afternoon BBQs at the CPT are well worth a try. All William Rose meats and reasonably priced too. What better than to listen to the clatter of Aussie wickets this Sunday, while eating one of Ross's burgers or hot dogs? Sounds good to me!!!! I think the BBQs start at twoish. Good luck England !!

So sorry to hear your sad news, James and Emma. Its so hard to lose a small furry friend who had become part of your family, even though he had only been with you a short while.I know how you feel as I have been there 4 times, all in different circumstances. Poor Buzz will be missing him too. Lots of TLC for him, I reckon. Thinking of you all. -
Have a look and see Keef !!!
