  1. Just wanted to add to the recommendations for Glen Scotland. He's just been round to repair our Samsung fridge freezer as the fridge temperature had gone haywire. Glenn returned my call promptly, he turned up when he said he would to repair it, had the necessary parts with him to repair it there and then and the job was completed within an hour. Very reasonably priced (we were looking at a full fridge/freezer replacement) and he was also extremely helpful with recommendations on things we could do to prolong the fridge/freezer's life. All in all, I'm happy to soundly recommend him - he's the Chill Doctor equivalent to The Spin Doctor (who is also completely brilliant btw).
  2. Yes I saw the original chap (Mel I think) in there directing operations the other day - really pleased to see them back. I loved the original Blue Mountain, was a regular haunt with my little ones and they're now big & vegan so will be lovely to let them take me there!

They need to respond within 3 working days but I received my verification first thing the following morning. I'd previously uploaded ID via the portal whilst trying to set up a permit a couple of weeks ago and had heard nothing. (And Jimlad - people are struggling with a problematic website, really no need for sarcasm.)
  4. No, no change to yellow lines. They've just added white line markings and put up the CPZ signs which were then immediately covered with bin liners.
  5. The controlled zone is not starting on Monday, they are preparing the roads. I don't think it comes into force until 22nd May '20. I've been amazed to see Southwark employees putting up signs and marking roads in preparation for this when we're in the midst of a pandemic but I guess some life/works are continuing as normal.
  6. I've just walked my dog round Brockwell Park earlier and could not believe how many runners were both plodding and pelting past (i.e. not new runners) huffing and puffing without any regard to keeping their distance. I was dodging on and off the path to try and get out of the way as they just ploughed on through. However there were also lots of parents and kids (mainly primary school-ish age) ambling or cycling along together who were also absolutely not heeding the advice to stay clear of other people.
  7. It's just your regular Joe Southwark traffic wardens buzzing around on their mopeds. I've seen at least one checking cars everytime I've been to the park recently.

We'll miss you - a really bright and fun addition to the Lane, my teens loved your menu. Wishing you lots of luck with the surgery, your recuperation and the relocation to France. We'll always look out for Saucy and hope we come across you in future either in the UK or in France (we go there a lot!) Xx

  10. So sorry to hear about this - we will keep everything crossed for Flo's surgery on Thursday, wishing her a very speedy recovery and sending her family a big hug at this difficult time xx
  11. Also someone in Trossachs Road has already got their Christmas tree up! It's so rock and roll in the Trossachs...
