  1. Hi, I wondered if anyone can recommend a sleeping pillow? I'm 32 weeks pregnant and getting uncomfortable at night but have no idea which is the best pillow to buy. Any recommendations gratefully received (tu)
  2. This woman is an arse. I used to live on Heber Rd and she has always driven like a total idiot. Grey/Silver Merc. Strange considering she has children herself and speeds to drop them off at school. Totally selfish.
  3. Thx, I will have to try although we have Tumbletots in the morning so would need to be afternoon.
  4. Hi all, Wondered what Busy Bees is? Thx, Rebekah
  5. Hi Amy, Do you have a couch with a hole in it to rest bump during massage? Thx
  6. Hi Liz, Is your class suitable for a pregnant lady? I'm 27 weeks and prior to pregnancy did about 5 hrs exercise a week although not done much lately. Thx
  7. Another question... My employer pays 9% pension contribution and I pay 3% from my salary. Are they oblidged to continue paying a certain amount even though I will only earn SMP and not a 'salary' as such? Or would my percentage contribution come out of SMP? Thx
  8. Lessons defo start Tuesday 4th; my son will be going tomorrow.
  9. Does anyone know of any prenancy yoga classes in ED either evenings or Sat mornings? Thx
  10. My hubby and I got married last year and left our then 11 month old son with his grandparents for 2 weeks while we were on honeymoon. He had a fabulous time being totally spoilt and there have been no negative affects. In fact, he regularly has sleep overs with Grandparents and there is never any kind of separation anxiety. However, I had stopped breastfeeding at this time so that wasn't a problem. My sister left her 9 month old daughter with me for 4 days a few years ago and by the time she came home her supply had really dwindled so this may be an issue for you. Couple time is extremely important, especially after the stress of becoming new parents. Hope this helps in some way.
  11. I recently visited Heber and the Head stated that you should list your favourite school as your first choice because in the event you were not awarded a place there, you would automatically be listed second for your closest school.
  12. We had our son's 1st birthday upstairs at The Mag and it was fab.
  13. I wondered if any forumites had a promotional code for tickets to see Gruffalo live on stage? Thanks, (tu)
  14. Thanks njc, I will take a look at the link although one more question, when I receive my SMP through work are they entitled to deduct the cost of the vouchers from this amount? Or are they not allowed to deduct anything from SMP? Are they obliged to pay the cost of the vouchers only when I do not receive any SMP, ie in the last 13 weeks?
  15. This sounds too good to be true! Is there any website that I can look at to clarify when an employee is entitled to retain the childcare vouchers? I was under the impression that if you contributed to the vouchers yourself via salary self sacrifice and it wasn't part of your salary package eg as a company car might be, then you could not expect your employer to continue making payments for you. You could carry on payment for the vouchers but it would come out of your SMP. When I go on maternity leave next year I will receive a 6 week bonus and then drop to SMP, does anyone know if I am eligible to apply for continuation of the vouchers at my employer's expense?
  16. My son had a dummy from 12 weeks and we finally took it away from him at 5 months. We went cold turkey which we thought would be horrible but actually it only took three sleeps to get over it. We also introduced a comfort blanket which he snuggled into instead of wanting his dummy, he also found his thumb. While he had his dummy we always removed it before he was fully asleep or if it fell out while he was dropping off we didn't repace it. We had to give it back to him in the night but only about 4/5 times. Hope this helps.
  17. We bought this one from John Lewis, its reallys sturdy and looks nice in both beech and white (my friend has white). You can also buy extra chairs. http://www.johnlewis.com/230563536/Product.aspx
  18. My son also attends Mother Goose Greendale. He's two so in the toddler room and will probably be with your little one. He has attended for the past 12 months and loves it. The staff are friendly, supportive and always available to listen to your comments. They are heavily over subscribed for the baby room but somehow don't have a waiting list for the toddler room, I think its the way they move the kiddies around (ie up to the next stage). Don't worry that you've managed to get them into a nursery without a waiting list, I know its a worry that a nursery without a huge waiting list is rubbish but its a great place as I'm sure you'll come to realise. Good look with the settling in.
  19. My son is 22 months and loves The Jungle Book. He loves copying the animal noises. Not sure its the educational dvd you are after...but it definitely gives me some time to myself.
  20. Hi, I went to the In Car Safety Centre in Milton Keyns to try the Izi Combi. I really liked the look of it and the isofix version is super secure in the car BUT it hardly reclined at all. The spec of the seat says it has five recline positions but it reality they are non existent and at it's most reclined it's hardly tipping back at all. I actually think a baby's head might loll forward when asleep. I didn't get it for this reason. Hope
  21. This post made me laugh out loud too. I haven't had the pleasure of finding my boy nappyless but I'm sure its not far away.
