  1. Just received my poll card in South camberwell ward, as Labour councillor Chris Gonde has stepped down. Does anyone know why??? We go to the polls on 15th October 2015. The candidates are as follows (in alphabetical order): Benjamin Maitland, Lib Dems Christopher Mottau, Conservatives Eleanor Margolies, Greens Octavia Lamb, Labour Stephen Govier, All People's Party. The polling station has also been changed to Amott road baptist church in Armott road se15
  2. That sounds like a good idea. from what i can read above, both lease holders and tenants have had issues. A manager above did leave his southwark council email address, but i think he only covers part of the borough. Maybe the leader of the council should know??
  3. As I left for work today, my neighbours were out discussing the events of the world. Saltash also came up. the neighbour on my left, is over 90 years of age, and should of had her back door painted as part of the major works scheme. I remember telling the supervisor of my neighbours back door on more than one occassion. I also informed the saltash liason officer through email several times. She has been waiting since April, I have given up contacting saltash on her behalf, as they do not respond, and now the contracting company has moved to another location away from the street. It gets worse for my neighbour on the right. She is also of retirement age. Her windows, like everyone else were painted while closed by the contracting company saltash in February this year. In April my neighbour tried to open the windows, but they were all stuck. My neighbour has had more than one visit from saltash to free the windows, but this shoddy company is unable to free the windows. all over summer my neighbour has been unable to open her windows, and has been waiting for seven months for saltash to come up with a plan of action, which currently they have failed to do. Saltash and southwark council have let down tenents
  4. To be perfectly honest, I really hope saltash is aware of this thread. I can see a council officer has kindly left a message above inviting tenants / lease holders to respond to him directly, which I think is good. I have logged my complaint with southwarek council, the due date was last month, I council officer addressing my complaint informed me he had sent off my issues directly to Saltash, and is awaiting a response. As mentioned earlier, i did not get a questionnaire or feedback form to complete, if i did, i would of certainly responded. i think like most, i would really like to be invited to a feedback meeting with the council and saltash to discuss these issues, but this means someone arranging a meeting
  5. We are now in September, still waiting for saltash to return the numbers on my street door they painted in July. I sent a complaint to the council in July, still waiting for a response from them also. I wonder if the numbers on my street door will be fitted in time for Christmas post, i would hate to miss my xmas cards in December???

  8. A friend of mine had saltash in North Dulwhich, and informed me Resident officers from Saltash and southwark council were second to none on their project. Always on regular oncontact with tenant/residents, appointments were kept, complaints robustly delt with, and a "can do apprach" with new windows installed all round. what happoned to the project on Copleston roas and the sounding streets? what happoned to our key staff from saltash and southwark council? can do approach????? I think we got short changed, and Saltash are laughing all the way to the bank with vast tax payers money, let along unaccountable council officers assinged to projects who you dont see. I am not impressed with southwark council housing department or saltash i cant think who is worse?????

I guess this is one possible option to a small amount of people, however, for me, I think better forms of accountability, better value for money, etc.... Its great you have responded James, I just wish the council had better platforms to serve tenants /leaseholders like those who have contreibuted here. We have paid council resident officers and contract managers, but there seems to be very little consultation with council officers. For example when the council carried out there presentation of works on my street, this was carried out at the Area Housing Office in camberwell. Clearly the wrong place to host such an event as we live here in peckham/east dulwhich. the copleston road church, the east dulwhich church hall, all would of been local / accessable to residents/tenants. There also does not seem to be any evaluation, no one has asked for my opinons. no questionnaire, no feedback, no plan meeting, no noithing. I thought the council was meant to serve tenants/residents, not the otherway round.
  12. went to the gym at 2:30pm today, had a great workout, went off to the planned General swim at 3:10pm, to be told i could could not go and go swimming by the reception staff due to limited lifeguards. There was about eight people in reception, many with children., Boi was i pissed. I sugged waiting, and was told by reception, they could not gurentee me access to the pool. i decided to go back to the gym, which meant, repacking my things back into the locker. 15 mintes later, i tried again, saw none of the people waiting in reception, asked if i could have my swim, "sure" i was told. 'no one came to get me' came to get me i thought, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
  13. Bob, all that is correct, but at the moment fusion and the council are only committing to one year of funding. there is talk of offering all adults free gym/swim within southwark free also
  14. Yes, you get a 1 year membership i understand
  15. I had my street door painted by saltash at the end of July. The operative naturally had to remove the numbers to paint the whole door. I am still waiting for the contracting company to refix them. The company has now left the street, and the numbers are left in the same spot as the operative left them, on my stairs. Thanks saltash

Come on > management, spend some money, and get some water > in please, look atfer your customers I went to the gym yesterday. the plumbing issues seem to of been fixed. the lights on the gym turn style are still broken, its been eight days since i completed the comment card. i included my phone number, email address and membership number. i had no contact from fusion?????
  17. I went to the dulwhich lesiure centre yesrterday. I swipped my card to get through the turnstyles, and I notice the the red and green lights are now out of action. Both lights have gone, any idea how do you know if you have swipped in correctly? I just kept swipping and pushing the bar a few times, until it opened. I went to the gym. Did a really go workout, was really tired, spent a good 40 minutes exercising, so really burnt a sweat up. went to the water fountin, the one with all the pictures of the personal trainers information on the wall. I could not fill my reuseable gym cup, why? the fountin did not work, absolutitly noithing!!! I tried the secobnd fountain, closest to the chaging rooms, and a trickle came out, whats up with the plumbling????? surely by law there should be ready made freely available water at all times????? I asked the staff at the main reception, I was advised the management are aware of both issues. plumbers have been on site each day. Come on management, spend some money, and get some water in please, look atfer your customers
  18. thanks danielson00 ?8.40 for payment for Gym ?4.60 for payment for swim what about payment for classes, do they vary, or a set price? with gym and swim it makes the monthly membership even more attractive now
  19. Do you know how much a gym session is, or is this only available on membership only????
  20. I went to the swimming pool for the first time today. I mist admit i quite enjoyed the facilities. i thought the facilities were bright, clean and inviting. i enjoyed the swim. The member of staff at the desk was warm and inviting. positive first time experience for me. the showers worked, the hair driyers worked, cant fault the experience, sorry
  21. wow, I thought it was only me who experienced issues. I had my street door painted recently by saltash. The operative left the numbers of my door on the ground. when I quired this, I told I needed to contact saltash to get them refitted, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I really do not like this company. I understand the liason officer for saltash is on leave right now. Is there any plans for an evaluation of these works?????? I am aware some tenants have had new kitchens installed, i have not been contacted, i am really shocked to learn the Housing Department is unaware of what properties they own along the street, surely the rent accounts are a bit of a clue :). I know there is a contract manager and a resident officer in southwark relating to these works. have they ever been on the street? I agree we need to get together. We use to have Mary Netty as a Resident Housing Officer. Southwark Housing did a move around in 2014, and the Housing Department chose not to let us know who our new Housing Officer is. We really need a Resident & tenant Association. I bet Saltash is laughing all the way to the bank, and council officers sit nicely in tooley street. no accountability, There should be a clarke of works going up and down the street carrying out regid inspections. no one cares. Most of the windows on our street should be replace, but Saltash/council dont do it.
  22. Hello all, I live on Copleston road SE15. We have just gone through Southwark Councils Major works programme, the street was furnish with scaffolding for several months, while external painting was carried out by Southwark council contracting company Saltash. It took the company months to paint my street door. Like most along the street, the company painted our window frames while closed during february, which meant, during spring march, none of us could open our windows. An operative discovered rotten wood from my windows, it took Saltash just under four months to address as the liason officer simply was not proactive enough. I had to get my local councillor involved before any works could commence. The councillor informed me, officers from southwark council had been informed by Saltash, the delay was due to myself not responding to letters, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I wonder what address this company was writing to? I am currently pursuing a complaint. Has anyone else experienced any issues with Southwark Council works scheme or Saltsh? I hear they are heading towards nunhead shortly.
  23. no worries, but i would like to make contact with them, can you assist at all?
