  1. Apparently they're still on the scene, or were half an hour ago. Pressure in Shelbury and Scutari still nowhere near normal
  2. Anyone in the vicinity of Scutari, Dovedale, Shelbury roads or others in that area (SE22) experiencing problems with your water pressure, please call Thames Water on 0800 316 9800. They know there's a problem but will only send technicians over if they get enough calls
  3. Paul came to fix our computer today. He showed up on time, worked patiently and dillegently and solved the matter entirely. I can't recommend him enough and would like to add my voice to the already considerable chorus of endorsements. Thank you so much Paul! we will be sure to contac you again should the need arise.
  4. I recommend Adriana @ sparclean. Extremely high standards, trustworthy, helpful and reliable. You can contact Adriana on 07733 398061
  5. I can whole heartedly recommend Terrie, a local painter - decorator who does fabulous work for not much (maybe not enough) money. She's brilliant, but you might have to wait as many others seem to share my opinion of her craftswomanship. Terrie's number: 07828 971163
  6. Hi, I know he'd been mentioned here before, and for good reasons!!! We've had our bicycles serviced once again by the wonderful Pim who quietly and efficiently resolved minor as well as more serious issues and prepared our cycles for a lengthy road trip. All for a modest and fair sum!!! I really cannot recommend him enough, if all trades people were as honest and good.... but I diverge. Pim's number: 07970 892922
  7. Hi, Janet Evans who used to run children's yoga above the Soup Dragon continues to run her wonderful classes at a different venue, very close by. You can look up the details on her internet site: http://www.yogajanam.com
  8. About ? hour ago, a truck sporting the words ?City Scrap Metal? pulled up our road. A guy walked out and calmly attempted to load a brand-new bike belonging to one of the kids playing outside onto his truck. Fortunately, my neighbour spotted him and run across demanding to know what on earth he was up to. The kids were engaged in a water fight ? a second later that bike would have vanished and we would never have known how. What a great cover: the guy claimed that he was just doing his job. When we asked him how a brand-new bike could possibly qualify as ?scrap metal?, his accent became very foreign and he was having trouble understanding us. I wish I had been cleverer (or less shocked) and noted down his car registration number. Be warned ? he may be down your road as we speak ?doing his job?.
