For anyone wanting to look at evidence (rather than misleading speculation) TfL have helpfully pulled together a summary of the impacts of LTNs based a range of evidence. Not only do LTNs have lower crime levels, the roads are also significantly safer. The impacts of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods in London

Given the title of this thread I suggest we get back on topic - perhaps a separate thread could be set up for Dulwich Village crime. Probably one for the lounge rather than ‘roads and transport’.
-
What makes you think that is a likely outcome?

This recent letter from the Met Police Commissioner sets out the many challenges - there’s a significant impact on local neighbourhood policing when officers are abstracted to support the many protests / large events held in the centre of London.London partners - Commissioner letter - 5th September 2025.pdf Strongly recommend attending local community panel meetings with the neighbourhood police teams as mentioned by @beansprout

I’ve simply offered a suggestion that if you want to know what the council is doing / what the councillor meant when he said ‘agreed’ your best course of action would be to ask the councillor. I’d suggest it would be more effective to ask your question to the councillor. Continuing to vent your frustration here doesn’t seem to be getting you anywhere.
-
FM has already confirmed that they haven’t asked the councillor. Seems they prefer to just rant here about not having the answer.
-
What? FM has a question about what the councillor has said, I suggest FM asks them. This forum is truly painful at times.
-
Not deflecting, I'm trying to help you get an answer to a question you've asked here many times without a successful outcome.
-
It doesn't seem to be suiting you though. You repeatedly ask what's happening next and sound very frustrated that you don't know. You could very easily get that answer from emailing your local councillor.
-
If only kerbs stopped drivers from mounting the pavement, would be great if they did!
-
Instead of posting repeatedly here why don’t you email your local councillors to ask?

Noise from Lime bike overnight servicing
march46 replied to Vlado's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I’ve experienced the same in Herne Hill. It’s definitely linked to where there are already marked bays, it prevents you from parking within approx 200-400 metres around the bay. Dulwich Village has quite a few bays, which probably explains why you’ve noticed it there and not elsewhere. -

Pretty sure it’s the same everywhere in Southwark in that the area around a marked cycle parking bay is geofenced - presumably to encourage riders to use the bays. -
Spotted this at a bus stop. Badly parked cars can negatively impact so much on bus journeys. Hopefully the offending vehicle will be towed away soon.

Worth calling ahead as sometimes they can’t accept large donations

Lovely to see Dulwich Square’s bookshop, Village Books, celebrating their 100th year today. It was nice they made the most of the space outside the shop for their party, with a live band and lots more. Many happy customers!

Bollards are not dangerous. The design of bollards is not the problem here.
-
Pretty much the only people ‘still talking about it’ are you and a handful of others here on this forum, and OneDulwich which is essentially one obsessive campaigner. Oh….and the local Conservative want-to-be councillors. Most people have moved on and are on the downhill slope of the curve.
-
Have you emailed him to ask?
-
Agree it’s a shame they have to be there in the first place, ideally pavements would be free from all clutter. However, needs must when drivers can’t stay on the road and drive on the pavement.
-
The bollards are there to protect pedestrians by preventing drivers from mounting the pavement. Why do you think they are they ‘stupidly placed’?
-
Genuine question. They’re not located on any part of the road, where drivers should be. So how are they ‘stupidly placed’? Surely you’re not saying the bollard is to blame?
-
Stupidly placed how?

School Street hours extended: Hillsboro' Road
march46 replied to ed_pete's topic in Roads & Transport
There was a new Traffic Management Order published fairly recently with the amended updated timings. Presumably the website hasn’t yet been updated -
Maybe read the report Rockets??
