There's a house somewhere around the Langton Rise / Wood Vale junction from where very expensive fireworks have been going up for over 1 1/2 hours now. Exactly the same last new new year and November. The host is either putting on a show for what must now be some very bored guests or he / she is all alone. Either way it's odd and enough's enough. Just venting. Aahh.

Oh yes, right. Thanks Bob. While that makes me less conspiritorially minded the the issue was about this sketch being based in E Dulwich rather than about show itself. So should be on this forum.

Is this a forum for interesting discussions about the area or 1984 made real? The disappearance of the 'I saw you coming post' suggests the latter. What is the censoring policy here please?

I felt this was one prescient Harry Enfield sketch in an otherwise patchy return to our screens. Would anyone who has seen it agree that this sketch could as easily be located in an establishment on (or just off) Lordship Lane - given the pretentious overpriced tat some establishments sell, the misplaced arrogance of some who sell it, and the yummy mummies and their bespectacled lifepartners that gullibly gobble it up?
