  1. Thank You for replies, I second the feedback about one of the shops on Rye lane, few years back , I had a bad experience as the guy last my sim card, didn't seem to care, but found it eventually through persistence , but there a few phone shops there, so experience will probably be different good and bad, great shout out for Sarp, i visited them and the guy is really helpful and professional - may not be the cheapest but i am not sure what Rye lane charges.
  2. HI, I need to replace battery for Oppo A9 phone, can you recommend a shop to get the battery and replacement done. Thanks
  3. Swarms of flying ants around last week.
  4. Seen the area and looks a jolly space for people to hang out
  5. Damage to the hill, by those people that visit and have no respect for the area and spoil the peace and beauty for others
  6. The Noise teams should be working again to attend to noise issues..surely??
  7. Signs did not put people off on Dawson Hill lighting fires. The fire brigade came to the park to put out a large bonfire that people had blazing, large group of people around cheering and playing music loudly..Another disruptive night for neighbours
  8. Details found on Southwark Park Boards. For assistance in keeping Southwark Parks including Dawson Hill Nature Area a safe and clean space, these teams also work with the local authority and Police for Anti Social Behaviours. Contacts given on the boards to call are 07908 767784 07940 743929
  9. I was passing through Dawson Hill on my bike and noticed some large sofas and various chairs that are positioned on the grass area, no doubt this contributed to the noisy crowds hanging around late last night. Does anyone know of a number/contact at the Council or Parks team to arrange their collection, as this dumping of furniture is only going to encourage people to camp out all night, adding to an already horrible situation for local residents. As a Neighbourhood watch, be really useful to keep an eye if we see any persons brining unwanted furniture to the park and report it straight away.
  10. Thank you Pugwash, our neighbours have given us some contacts, Do you work or linked with the local Police teams.?
  11. Yes Savvy girl, my wife pointed out my errors Dawson Hill not Dulwich Hill, the park and hill area behind Dawson Heights flats.
  12. This is a couple of days ago,. My wife and I decided to take the short cut onto Dawson Hill, after celebrating relatives birthday, we walked back after midnight and a young teenage girl come running out of the park in tears, we tried to help but she ran into the flats, walking down the path on the hill we encountered a group of lads/men who were quite loud and intoxicated, we asked was the girl with them and we was told to get lost (E.D polite version), after some negiotiating and chatting some of the lads agreed to leave the darkness of the hill and a few rode home on their bikes. We could hear some more people by the trees but could not see them due to the dark, I have read on Twitter and some other social media the noise at the hill is a problem. I have some empathy for people living their lives and worked in youth services when I was younger but do not think it pleasurable to have to have sleepless evenings due to the rowdy noise.. I am a Father and we have spoken to the children about been responsible in who they hang around with and where they spend their down time, Thankfully both of my children have no desire to sit on a hill in the dark. There are so many issues happening on Dawson Hill, the rubbish, the noise to homes that surround the hill. I am really concerned about the guy with long hair who has been collecting the kids rubbish every morning as he, by locals account is also friendly with the people that smoke and party on the hill and has been seeing smoking weed with them. I think that young adults are too easily exploited these days with social media without extra pressures.. I will be contacting Southwark on Monday to talk through my concerns and what happened earlier this week. We was glad to guide some people off the hill, but we are not the police and these people should be moved and asked to go home by the authorities for their own safety and wellbeing.
