  1. Right, try calling the 119 number to speak with someone, it's a maze of menu's that does not include an option to speak with someone. If the process is not simple and straight forward I believe people may get fed up and not bother. (although I feel Everyone should be vaccinated) Eventually spoke to someone and was told it would be my Practice which put me in the group I am in and the NHS can't change that. One of the staff at the surgery today said it was the NHS the other said it was the surgery who categorised patients. So no clarity there then. Funnily having spoken with the dept I am under at Kings, who said the opposite, that I was deemed to be in the vulnerable group and should be vaccinated. I was offered a vaccination today. The process at Kings was efficient, effective and very well organised. As an add on to this, it was clear that those being vaccinated were of a wide range of ages.
  2. That was my experience, but you believe you know better!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Booking a vaccination slot is not straight forward, lots of menu's to navigate, continual referrals to the NHS website and very difficult to speak to a person. Well Matt, if you don't make it simple, no wonder people are becoming dis-illusioned in getting the jab.
  4. So. Part of Forest Hill rd, Outside Tessa Jowelll centre, Lordship lane Goose Green end But, earlier both sides of Langton Rise road and pavement still snowy. Any way, I think Southwark are doing a good job in relation to this.
  5. A big thank you to the guys from the council out there now gritting the pavements and making them safe.
  6. Admin, keep doing what you're doing, a great job running this forum.
  7. Agreed, I have no issue with the staff, it was the security guard I took issue with.
  8. New Lidl up the top end of the Old Kent Road in the former Toys are Us unit.

    Sausages

Agreed, they where a local institution in Peckham and Camberwell that no longer exist, selling sausages, pies, sliced meats and cheese etc. Sadly nothing similar exists. Sausages

I do like a nice big sausage, oh Matron!! But seriously, there are lots of butchers in the vicinity, some closer than others to choose from that you can try out and find the sausage you most enjoy. I prefer mine with buttery mashed potato, peas and onion gravy.
  12. Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck OPEN SEASON
  13. Really useful link, thanks for finding and posting this.
  14. I assure you Coop have already progressed it to Area Manager level and I am awaiting a phone call once the wrongful stop has been investigated. I actually felt violated being stopped in the street as I had done NOTHING wrong, hence making a scene of it. The guard is not employed directly by Coop but by a large corporation called Mitie. Yes he made a mitie error of judgement.

Yes I did, as I had been wrongly stopped having been an honest PAYING customer with a receipt for the goods I had purchased. I paid for my Three items at the self checkout, thank God I printed the receipt. I then put the items in the carrier bag I was re-using, on top of the the shopping I'd done in another store earlier. I left the store and outside, I was "invited" to return which I happily did. The security guards excuse was he stopped me because I was using my own re-usable carrier bag. Really................... I was extremely annoyed and angry at being incorrectly stopped, that's why I raised my voice, swore (incorrectly) and loudly and made a massive scene. If the guard had been watching properly he would have seen that I had paid by card for my goods. I asked the security guard guard to get the store manager, I was initially presented with someone from bakery (not the store manager) who claimed to be in charge, then a team leader appeared again saying he was in charge (and again not the store manager), finally an acting manager appeared. Each time I had to repeat what had happened. If you had been stopped incorrectly having not done anything wrong, no doubt you'd be annoyed as well. And the alarms did not go off either. I invited the store to call the Police which they naturally and unsurprisingly declined.
  16. No not a bitter post, I explained what happened to me. I don't take to being accused of being a thief when I had paid for my goods and had a receipt as proof of purchase. The security guard had clearly not been watching and made a rash and WRONG stop. And yes it has been reported to them. 17. Very busy and lacking social distancing today
  18. Beware of the over zealous security guard in Coop food Lordship Lane who stops people who have left the store, having paid for their goods, have a receipt and have used a re-usable bag. Very unpleasant experience today and he has no understanding nor appreciation of social distancing. Won't EVER be using that store again.
  19. According to TfL the 63 and 363 are running through Forest Hill Road again?
  20. See https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/prescriptions-and-pharmacies/electronic-prescriptions/ This way you deal with the pharmacy and not the GP practice.
  21. Also report it here, https://www.fixmystreet.com/
  22. Mid afternoon today, no queue to enter. However the veg isles where amazingly empty, no oranges or easy peelers. Although some grapefruit and lots of lemons. Well stocked for other hard fruit, apples, pears and looked like just re-stocked bananas. Other isles appeared stocked, frozen goods OK. Manager said it will have a delivery tonight, so hopefully will be re-stocked for Thursday.

  24. About 12.30pm the queue was short and moving fairly quickly. Busy inside and poor social distancing. Cheese seemed to be a very popular item with some European cheeses out of stock (wonder if it is Brexit related?), otherwise shelves seemed to be reasonably stocked with np apparent shortages. Queues lengthening for cars entering and leaving the car park. Glad I got all my shopping done. Long queues on LL at M&S, both cheesemongers, the fishmonger, Franklins briefly and across the road at the butchers. Ditto long queue at the green grocer on Evelina Rd/Nunhead Lane and ditto the fishmonger there, plus a queue outside the butchers in Woodvale. No queue at Tesco Old Kent Road and again seemed well stocked.
