  1. It was a double fronted pub
  2. I remember both, many, many years ago. And the Kings Arms was at the junction of East Dulwich Road and Peckham Rye, it was huge and was converted to flats. Oh those were the days.
  3. Sue, Sue, Sue Yes the bus stop at what was The Kings Arms I believe remains closed, However the stops at the Heaton Arms (no youngster here) is open. Easiest way is a 63 or 363 to Peckham Hill street and change for the 78 which takes you directly to the front door or as good as.
  4. Nope, that's not the dogs fault, rather the owner who can't be bothered to train or clear up after their pet dog Don't need teaching. No hostility here, just responding to people who see no wrong in these pests
  5. FHS, not complaining, explaining why I think foxes are a pest. We appear to disagree on lots of things, and we're poles apart.
  6. I expressed my experience, if you don't like it, well that's your choice. They crap on the lawn, it has to be cleared up otherwise blue bottles come on it and spread germs. It's disgusting.
  7. I did read the comments above It's not moaning, it's stating facts. Tell you what, you can come and clear up the near daily fox crap and see how you like dealing with it, no didn't think that would appeal to you. Do they control rodents? Foxes are vermin. It's an emotive topic for some, I realise that, however the facts are foxes are a pest.
  8. When I have to clear the crap up on the lawn, its disgusting, so yes they are a damn nuisance and pest. Idiotic people feed them because they feel sorry for them. They can come and clear up the fox crap and see why they are bests. They need culling. You probably enjoy seeing them, I don't enjoy clearing up their mess, the digging of holes in flower beds, the ripping apart of a tree stump, that's why I see them as a pest and nuisance.
  9. So everything postal wise is likely to take longer, pay more = get less. This is the beginning of the slow and gradual death of Royal Mail.
  10. What else do you call them. They crap everywhere it is unpleasant clearing up after them, so I do call them a pest
  11. Well according to tfL no bus services are affected so is it realistically true?
  12. Is that a purposeful wind up, because it's mighty funny.
  13. You made a good point earlier about Thatcher being dead, its the fall back that others use of Oh lets blame Thatcher, that becomes tediously boring, hence yawn
  14. Can you post this on the TW twitter page, the more people who do, the better chance of it being repaired. Can you post this on the TW twitter page, the more people who do, the better chance of it being repaired.
  15. Think Bob was using his "humour"
  16. IMO EDF Admin do a fab job running the forum.
  17. Oh I think it does need an explanation "I didn't think it required an explanation" Perhaps you mean people moving into ED with wealth and driving locals out who cannot afford to live here as a result.
  18. Very much the same in Bellenden road and in some of the surrounding roads, take Highshore Road as an example where you can spend £2M on a house.
  19. Sue, I do not dispute that we are lucky to have such a market, but it is seems to cater for those who can afford what the stalls charge. And whilst the stalls are there in all weathers that is part of being a stall holder. Can you explain what you mean when you say "Many of the stalls are aimed at the changed local demographic"?
