  1. an update that successfully says nothing of any use.
  2. Be nice if it became something, anything useful for the community. Shop, pub, supermarket, rather than rotting away sadly as it is.
  3. Oh now you're coming over all defensive. What happened to the nice Sue, because since the early part of the year your approach seems to have changed and you've become much more challenging. No you have not broken any rules and even if you had why would I involve Admin, that's a ludicrous thing to say. Take care Sue.
  4. Approx height and diameter i) 19in x 27in ii) 26in x 27in

  6. Here you go again trying to twist things saying I made personal saying I don't feel safe, but it's you firing and demanding answers, you're not the police and nor are you a moderator. No its not a reasonable question, nor is saying I should go live somewhere else. You have a habit on here of "demanding" answers, not on.
  7. You quite happily fire from the hip "demanding" answers, how about taking a different tack and not making it personal.
  8. WoW Sue, all guns blazing.
  9. Well good for you, I don't feel safe. And saying why don't I go and live somewhere else is crass. Yes London is lawless, open your eys and see the reality.
  10. No it is not, it is a fact whether you like it or not. Do you feel safe on the streets, because I don't, do you go too central London, I don't as I don't feel safe. No one knows if someone is i) carrying a weapon or a knife and ii) you don't know what will trigger them to use it. So feel free to live in your bubble, but the reality is London is lawless and the police stand by and do nothing.
  11. The current crimes from what I hear are phone theft from the person, car theft and tradesman vehicle/tools theft. Plus of course the overall increase in stabbings and shootings across London which are becoming normalised.

  13. Shocked to hear that they did so much damage trying to break in.
  14. Sue said "But I'm sure the silver tongued Keir Starmer will be able to smooth things over. Not to mention the King and Queen 🤢" Starmer dithers and is unable to make any decision and when he finally does he gets in massively wrong and duly backtracks. The guy is a liability and clown who the country needs rid off before he taxes us to heaven whilst bankrupting the country. And as he's flying in and around Windsor for two days, I do hope they've got the skies covered as he's a sitting duck.
  15. He's the leader of the largest super power on the planet He's been invited He was voted for by a majority of Americans Nothing we can do to change any of the above You may not like him being here but there is really nothing that can be done to stop this happening No, I'm not a Trump fan either, however it's going to happen and he'll soon be gone and back on his way to the US of A.
  16. When I say more police presence, I meant locally, more police on patrol, not in unmarked cars and vans but on the street, willing and able to tackle and catch thieves, now that is their job isn't it?
  17. Khan is not capable of that position And as they say "frying tonight"
  18. Disagree. Where are the police when you need them? People want a police presence, they want to feel reassured by seeing them do what the word suggests, policing, so go catch some bad guys, arrest, charge and get the CPS to prosecute with the evidence to enable this to happen. Stabbing and shootings are so common place they no longer even get reported in the public domain. How many crimes don't get solved? Rather case closed and forgotten. The number of low to high level crimes which remain unsolved is staggering. The criminal fraternity know this, they know they won't get caught so they just carry on. Biggest crimes which affect most people, probably are phone and car theft and tool theft from tradesman (massively on the increase), both are prolific and what do the police do, diddly squat. zilch, nothing, provide a crime reference number and the case is closed. Not good enough, not by a country mile. Met Engage? I don't think so.
  19. Or Burnham for Mayor of London
  20. No they're not, generally London is becoming more lawless with less police and fewer and fewer police stations. Khan said he'd increase the numbers of police however the ploice commissioner said the opposite as the finances will not allow. Funny how the Mayor's proportion of the council tax was increased to cover policing but it ain't happening.
  21. What standing on the world stage? Starmer is a wannebe leader, no charisma, no passion, no leadership but tonnes of dithering, wringing his hands and pooing his pants. I'd love to see Burnham give him a run for his money. Reason he became Mayor of Manchester was due to him no longer wanting to be in front line politics. This thread has now gone well off topic, perhaps it needs renaming. Mandy and Keith's bathrobe Or, how Mandy stuck it to Starmer
  22. Austin's, oh what memories that brings.
