  2. Oh booze, booze, booze! Does it always have to come down to pubs and drinking? Hang on. Wait. Sorry. I don?t know what came over me. Scratch what I just said. I think I?m going to go have a lie down now.

Ok I will meet you half way at 239785.5 which I?m sure you will agree is still a stretch even for a spacious establishment like inside 72.

They have 480 thousand members (including me). How the hell do they all fit inside inside 72?
  6. This is causing serious comflict between my inner journalist and my inner slacker. Should I be up early tomorrow asking questions around the church and the police station or should I sleep in. hmmmmm.
  7. Drove past at about 12:30. Also unsure of what went on. Looked like cops rather than ambulances. Maybe soemone tird to nick the bike and then legged it.

I'm part of the ED group on facebook but then I'm just being a bit of a geek at the moment and spending too much time on the computer.
  9. Fear not comrades. I have for 2 years now been informing people from places as far a field as Finchley to the North and Croydon to the South that Denmark Hill Station is in fact in East Dulwich. In fact my research tells me that the area was known as Dulwich Hill up until some time in the 18th century. Through my calculated campaign of subtle propaganda I intend to insinuate the idea into the national subconscious until it becomes so prevalent that the powers that be have little choice but to move the boundary line. It is my pleasure and duty to contribute to the cause. Victoire.
  10. The Plough is my closest pub but I never used to go there because the atmosphere too violent (this coming from a guy who is known to have the odd Guinness in the Castle). I do hope it turns out ok after the refurb etc. It would be nice if they kept the name though, for historical purposes and all that.
  11. Sorry Dorothy, didn't intend to upset you. Last I checked they didn't show rugby in cafe nero though.
  12. Keep the Castle and stuff any new trendy coffee shops!! There's enough of them already.
  13. The Most Amazing Man Who Ever Lived - Robert Rankin (coz I saw it and though it must have been written about me)
  14. Cor you lot know your rivers.
  15. I can second Mogs. The Magdala does do very good pizza (try the calzone). although the atmosphere in there can be a bit otherwise sometimes.
  16. Baahhhh!!!! I'm going to stick to the CPT where the conversation revolves around old duffers complaining about the new upstarts moving into the area and the menu consists of the barman givng you directions to the closest kebab shop.
  17. Oh no, oh no, oh no. They haven't buggered the Clock House up have they?!?!?!?!? It used to be the best pub in East Dulwich although I have not had the chance to visit it in the last 8 months. 2 years ago I would go in for lunch at least twice a week for the steak and kidney pie which was quite litterally the best steak and kidney from a pub I have ever had. What have they done to it? What brewery is running it now? I used to be Youngs.
