  1. Mary Queen Of Arkansas - Bruce Springsteen
  2. Oh dear.
  3. Having recently booked flights via Opodo, I found that selected flights were not necessarily available and that when I returned to select alternatives, prices had fone up. Also, you have to add on their credit card charge. Not impressed.
  4. Jam and lemon curd tarts. Mmmm.
  5. Crepes. Quick and easy and you have plenty of choice of toppings.

  7. Smoke Fairies get a thumbs up from me!
  8. Diamonds in The Mine - Leonard Cohen
  9. Interesting article from yesterday's Telegraph on England's goalkeeping options. England's Goalkeepers
  10. Rampant consumerism. Well I forgot to mention the Braun hand blender, purchased to take the effort out of refried beans. At lease I bought it from Currys.
  11. Foodie goodies from Borough Market a selection of coffees from Monmouth chorizo and padron peppers from Brindisa corn tortillas and spices from Cool Chile and faggots from The Ginger Pig.
  12. And to make it a bit more interesting, a fiver on a sevenfold. Up in four so far, level in two (c'mon Greece and Serbia) and one yet to kick off.

The Borderline - crowd split between fans and casual attendees. But I enjoyed it.

Burke! Depends on whether he wants to play football* or sit on a bench watching football. He doesn't look fully fit at the moment - no surprise as he hasn't played much in the past two years - so maybe he should make this his priority. As for criticising the current long-ball style, the fans are ahead of him on this - hence the booing at recent games. Much of our success last year was playing neat passing football and retaining possession (Ferguson more passes in PL than anyone else). Still, I'm sure he'll pull his socks up, buckle down and show Arsenal a thing or two a week tomorrow. * or at least watch the ball sail over his head aimlessly in the vague direction of Cameron Jerome.
  16. This morning, the latest offerings from Crocodiles and Black Mountain made my drive to work more tolerable.

We just have an expectation that we should be looking to win our home games and playing 4-5-1 is not the way to do this. The start to the season is similar to last year in many ways except that Eck had switched to 4-4-2 at home by now and that was the catalyst for the win against Sunderland that started our unbeaten year in home games. At least that monkey is now off our back. I'm a big fan of Eck and what he has done on limited resources but I think that he has to be more positive. I don't condone booing myself but understand the reaction of those around me last Saturday who did boo.

  21. Playing devil's advocate, the police make money out of football. They can justified an increased presence at future games based on incidents such as last night, charge clubs more for this presence and make a political case for equipment to deal with such incidents. Also, based on incidents I have witnessed, some of the police enjoy the confrontation.
  22. Dance Hall Days - Wang Chung
  23. Because of the mix of teams the Championship has a relatively high number of games where trouble is a distinct possibility. Burnley are this weekends visitors to The Den - not always the 'nicest' of fans.

I have not fully recovered yet. Edited to say: You omitted Jon Parkin 'evading' the defence three times rfom your list of ridiculous deeds.

On a smaller scale, just booked for The Morning Benders this coming Thursday. Hope they're as good live as in the studio.
