Have every faith in Man Utd winning in normal time tonight, for it is written in my accumulator with William Hill. There will also be good news for Chelsea, Real Madrid, Man City and Liverpool in the next couple of days.

Bizarre headline of the week goes to: "Aston Villa: Homeless man found living under the Holte End stand in 'Shanty town' house". Anyone seen David O'Leary since he left the club??

So this has absolutely nothing at all to do with the very fine brewery of that name? How disappointing.

Restrict 'buthcery' to the shed at the end of the garden away from prying eyes. Work under the cover of darkness. Do not use power tools - these will alert the neighbours. Clean up thoroughly.

Daily Mash Made me smile.

3 'W's back in relegation zone. Blues sneak out (for now) with a dour, obdurate performance at Goodison. Everton rather guileless.

Great result for Spurs.

As opposed to a second foolish act of petulance by an experienced player (no reason for him to get involved for the first booking). VP would have known he was offside - look at the half-assed 'shot'. These things tend to get punished more in the C: than the PL.

Whoa - this is about kids' meals in pubs. What happened to a bag of crisps and a lemonade standing outside the pub while your dad supped his pint in peace.

Too many players carrying knocks for too long and today was a very bad day at the office (cliche no.33 in a series of...). Rumours we are prepared to throw our FAC QF at home against Bolton next week (obviously not official rumours). Wigan yep. Wolves and Blackburn the other two.

God yes. Kicked off every time. The dark days of the early nineties in the old third division - Macari had left Blues for Stoke and took four players with him - a lot of bad feeling around that time.

Forgot you had two games against them - Britannia Stadium's such a nice place to visit.

I wondered how much of a risk West Ham were taking given Stoke had turned him down because of his knee problem, but if he continues with his 'shoot on sight'* policy, should go a long way towards saving West Ham. And yes, Pulis is probably bitter about a couple of results going against him of late. * insert cheap Ashley Cole joke of choice here.

Got my first Oyster card the other day so remember seeing this: Touching In and Out Hope this helps.

Amazing win. Well done Ireland.

I agree and certainly hope he's back for the CL second leg. McLeish is a class act, great dignity.

Absolutely, he'd have given the support Wilshere needed. And Walcott would have posed a greater threat with his speed. Against that, James McFadden and Scott Dann are long term absentees and Alexander Hleb picked up a injury last week which he couldn't shake. A shame for any player that misses out on such an occasion.

LG. Hope you get the defeat out of your system quickly. Agree, a very sociable day between Blues and Arsenal fans both before and after.

Funnily enough my mate, The Burberry Buffoon, has just bought down in Whitstable, but he was up in town yesterday to meet up with a couple of old friends.

Thanks EC. Have not long surfaced feeling rather fuzzy.

Thoroughly deserved. Thanks for the good wishes. Anyone got a map of Europe I can borrow? Yep, West Ham looked good today. Have thought all season they have the players but have not played as a team. Lots still to be decided at the wrong end of the table.

My official status has now been upgraded to excited. 136 years of history, only one League Cup to show for it and not many more finals (twice beaten in the FA Cup - 1931 and 1956 - and once in the League Cup in 2001 - plus two european finals where to qualify, you had to hold a trade fair). Our recent successes have been confined to a competition where you won a van (Leyland DAF 1991) or a year's windscreen cover (Auto Windscreens 1995). So yes, today is a big day for Blues. Whatever the outcome, and Arsenal start as justifiable favourites, today will be about the pride and the passion of a team, the fans and the city. We cannot afford the wages of Arsenal, nor can we hope to match their incredible scouting system and development squad (something that would take years just trying to emulate), but we will outdo Arsenal for desire (in a good way) - the reactions of the players at the final whistle of the semi-final epitomised this. And, in Foster, Johnson and Jiranek, we have better players than their Arsenal counterparts, Ferguson too if Fabregas is really unable to play. With Zigic causing mayhem to Arsenal's centre-halves and Martins or Jerome playing off him, who knows. Or what are the odds on Lee Bowyer being the least popular person ever to score a Wembley winner. I'm going to have a cracking day out, kick started by a couple of glasses of G&B's 'breakfast' Prosecco. 31,499 other Bluenoses will also have great days (and I hope Arsenal fans on the forum enjoy their day too, but with a slightly less successful way). One thing I do know about today, there'll be joys and sorrows too. Keep right on.

I think it would actually be quite good fun if Spurs did win it. After all, they've provided a fair amount of entertainment so far and, given that there are many current or former champions still involved, it would be some achievement to lift the trophy if they get through the next six games. Heavens, some of the champions from the past have hardly lit up the final (Steaua and Red Star in particular).
