  1. don't forget to remind him that Father Christmas will only bring presents if he is a good boy!
  2. Sorry, another question not an answer... Do you have to go on the rides with your children or can you just wave them off? (My kids are 2 and 4 and I'm pregnant so don't fancy even gentle rides!)
  3. I've cleaned up large drinks spills with a disposable nappy before. Very absorbant!
  4. I have told my kids you have to be seven before you are allowed to do your own teeth morning and night. (They do their own in the morning, I do them at night.) My husband thinks I am mad to have set an arbitrary cut-off point and I see his point, it depends on the child and their abilities. But it has stopped all arguments, which I think would otherwise be nightly. If the younger one says anything about doing it herself, the older one puts her straight for me! (They are 2 and 4 now.) Don't know where I got the age seven from, but after I'd said it once I stuck to it!
  5. My daughter (just turned 2) will only eat a few raisins for breakfast. I have given up worrying about it! I tried offering her loads of different things (even Pop Tarts in my desperation!) but I've been forced to conclude she's just not very hungry. The rest of us are quite big on breakfast so if she wants something else she can definitely have it as there is plenty of cereal and taost around. As long as your little one is still on the milk and he knows there is food available should he want it, I wouldn't worry. He might need more food as he begins to walk and so on but at the moment as he's happy, he must be getting all the nitrition he needs.
  6. sounds like I have been a bit chemical happy! the addiction started with the cloth nappies, another baby on the way now so about to get them out again. Maybe will try without Napisan this time...
  7. Where is he going to go, my son (almost aged 4) has asked too? He couldn't stand Kickers! can you get boys' ballet shoes or are they stuck with the pink ones?!
  8. I took it off with my son when my daughter was born as I couldn't put him in and out and hold her at the same time! He was almost 2. With my daughter we took it off when she was just over 1 as she was always trying to climb up by herself (yes I was there supervising, she's always been a climber!) and I figured I'd rather she could sit down and stay there when she got to the top than teeter about with nowhere to go.
  9. it sounds great to me, I'd just be worried I'd damage it! Isn't it quite expensive?
  10. Why don't you just see how it goes? There's no point worrying too much about it now. If she seems to struggle then you can try the 4 day week, but she might enjoy it and want to go every day! You can't really tell before she starts. By all means make plans, but don't set them in stone. Think of the 4-day week as a contingency plan for if she can't cope with a full week, and be prepared to be flexible. My son is still 3, he'll be 4 in August, and he's starting in Spetember too. I am way more worried about it than him, he can't wait!!
  11. I use it quite a lot, as I wash most things at 30 I like to know all germs are well and truly dead. My son wets his pants a lot so if there's anything in there with wee on it it I chuck the Nappisan in with the detergent. Ends up being most days lol! Sainsbury's always have it in the baby aisle, about 2/3 of the way down on the right (as you approach the checkouts) so there is no need to stock up, it's widely available!
  12. I've been going to pre & post natal Pilates at ESPH on Lordship Lane. It's on Mondays from 12-1 and I think it's about ?10 a class. I bought a block of 10 lessons. There's no expiry date on the lessons and they can be used for any of their classes, so I'm planning to keep buying in blocks and after I have the baby who knows I might even go and do some spinning or something if I have any left! I went to Pre-natal Pilates at Push Studios on Blackwater Street for a bit too. It was on Thursdays in the evenings (I think abnout 7pm), which was much less convenient for me as I already have 2 kids. That was the main reason why I stopped going there and went to ESPH instead. Also, if you buy a block of classes they only last for 3 months which isn't ideal given you can't do Pilates for 6-8 weeks after the birth. It's also about ?10 a class. I have to say the set-up at ESPH is much more professional than at Push Studios as well, in my opinion.
