It's an excellent site, looks undervalued compared to what other places have gone for comparing square footage prices.

Firemalc, where did you notice that they only contribute a small percentage to the charity? It's shown inside the shop on the wall and if it bothers you contact save the children directly- 100% of net profit goes to save the children.
-
Their stock is not pricey, the donated goods are are sold much cheaper than rrp so you can always find a bargain. Other donated goods sold cheap too. Good luck to them. 100% of their profit goes to saving children's live around the world. Donate what you can and don't be grumpy.

These shops have been rolled out in "posh" areas of London. Brand new gear is donated by top brands and sold in the shops with a big percentage of net profit going to save the children. The shops look like they are fitted out to high specs. They need donations from the community too. Opening next Saturday from noon. She's a clever lady. Mary's living & giving

It is going to be a hairdressers Sue. Mootoo reopening too, not as Mootoo though.

There is more important storm damage to think about just now, like what happened in Philippines. Give money.

Lush designs relocated to where the photocopy used to be next to Acorn.

Grey seems to be a common theme, the new Lush shop which has opened looks great. Callow to let sign is down so maybe another new place opening soon, and the new branch of hairdressors on nx seems to be steaming along. Where's that deli?

Why do you need planning permission for those particular ones? Have you seen Colin Harrington's mural? -

Activity in old William Rose shop on EDG ?
easytiger replied to ed_pete's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
More and more coffee shops opening in the area, surely a positive thing? -
There was a controlled parking zoned element attached to the application of these flats and units at the station, a local councillor voted for a multi road controlled parking zone which the applicant requested, where the majority of locals voted against. Don't trust any councillor trying to get in a supermarket.

But they are not closing down but have presumably sold up?

Old Moo Too, Sew East Dulwich Shop 45 Lordship Lane

The rent did not double, it had not even reached the end of its lease for it to be reviewed as such if that were the case. The rent was kept below market value for the past several years and the increase it should have had 5 years ago was staggered upwards year on year as asked for by Mootoo and agreed with landlords, below market value. The landlord and tenant had a good relationship. The rent is not 36k, do your research. Your friend is misinformed. Business rates are high depending on zones and size of property. The property is almost 900 sq ft which makes rates high. Mootoo turned into SewEastDulwich and after 9 months of re-trading as a haberdashery their cash flow dried up and they put themselves into liquidation. They gave the keys back to the landlord and passed everything over to them with no notice, surrendering their lease which was informal and now offically done. No more speculation needed. -
