My point is how can they be managed with robust rules if they’re illegal?

I was under the impression that it was still illegal to ride unlicensed scooters I.e. privately owned scooters on public roads and I don’t think there’s any plan to change that once the trial of licensed, rented scooters is completed.

Many years ago now I had a conversation with an assistant manager about how they proposed to deal with the rats. I was told that I should speak to Southwark Council as the rats came from land owned by the council! There are, or used to be, foxes there - they could deal with the rats.

I’d agree with this but my views about Queen have changed. I found them hilarious when I first saw them on tv in the early 70s as Freddie’s performance (bless him) was so derivative and I have to admit I became prejudiced against them, even their performance at Live Aid by which time Freddie had developed his own strong, unique on stage persona. It was only watching the concert put on in memory of Freddie that I appreciated the really good music they had produced. I still can’t stand Bohemian Rhapsody though.

It was for a while in the 90s. Before that it was ?some kind of local advice centre? I never worked out what it did.

He’s either trying it on or is very naive. If he wants the room available for him seven days a week then he should pay a rent that covers seven days a week regardless of how many nights he stays. This sounds very intimidating for you in your own home and I think he needs his marching orders, involving a solicitor if needs be.

From my own observations though it is those who were around 40 years ago who are not picking up. Not saying that everyone who was around 40 years ago do not pick up!

I had assumed that the gutter weeds/wild flowers were due to the council stopping spraying, for environmental and/or rewilding reasons? I’ve see them being removed recently with a hand held hoe-like tool
