Water Pressure Problems - Nutbrook St/Adys Road
markyb3 replied to markyb3's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi there, Thanks for that. Neighbour is in another house, so different supply. No tank at all and water is definately running more slowly than normal. Have tried the turning on and off the supply and the blocking trick, but neither improved it. It could be that Thames Water are supplying more houses temporarily whilst they are working on Peckham Rye. -
Water Pressure Problems - Nutbrook St/Adys Road
markyb3 posted a topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I have been having problems with the hot water boiler not kicking in for the last week and i suspect its lower pressure from Thames Water, as my neighbour is having exactly the same problem. Thames Water have been round today and assured me that the pressure in the area has not been reduced and meets the minimum standards. If my neighbour has the same problems I am more than a little suspicious of their "meeting our obligation" customer service standards. Is anyone else having similar problems in the area ? -
lordship lane post office 20 mins
markyb3 replied to Dickensman's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
You have obviously never endured Peckham Rye Post Office. I am sure that if the queue is too short they close a few windows to make it longer, and i have never seen all the windows open, lucky to have half, but usually 2 or 3. I must come over to Lordship Lane more often. -
First delivery since Thursday just arrived in Nutbrook Street today. SE15 4JU

This happened to me once. I took the money into the bank that the cash machine belonged to. They took my details of my card that i used directly after i found the money and reunited the money with the owner who was the person who withdrew the cash. I got a lovely thank you letter. Mark

I'd say the helicopters beat the foxes ... -
I read somewhere that the bar on top of the multi storey car park will be opening again for Summer. I have great reports from friends (non SE londoners) who went last year and loved it. Does anyone know when its opening this year ?

markyb3 replied to sack donger's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I've moved from DMC ... it started off as Drop in and wait which worked fine for me......it moved to a much more regimented appointment system and i could never get one when i wanted. Sounds like its got even worse.... Vote with your feet -
Barry, I always find it very difficult at Peckham Rye when getting a train to Victoria.(and the other way round) I am always running late and swipe in my pre pay oyster only to find I've just missed the train. The timings of the trains with 5 mins between the fast and stopper service and then none for another 25mins means its not worth waiting for the next one. Any chance that the trains could be more evenly spaced ? Mark

She was in Nutbrook Street a couple of weeks ago. I asked her for proof of where she lived. She told me she would go and get some proof and i never saw her again.

Can i ask what is happening to the ticket machine at Peckham Rye Station ? Each time i have been to the station recently it is either not accepting cards for payment or not able to top up prepay as it cannot read the card, (and this cannot be done at the ticket office, for some reason) I was directed by the gatekeeper to a shop 100 yards up the road to top up my card. I would like to be able to top up at the station now you offer prepay fares.
