Unless he or she comes up with some actual examples of unsafe gigs (which s/he won't be able to) then I think it's a pretty safe bet that s/he has never actually been to any of them.

Grok and Earlydoors - hmmm.

RE Grok and stalking, there was a well known poster on here, banned many a time back in the day, who used to get off on doing a bit of that. He'd mention having seen people at puns and stuff. One day the guy walked up and introduced himself to my wife in a library, having worked out who she was. That was a bit weird.

Brendan welcome back. You've missed out on bottles of orange liquid, antisocial food consumption on public transport, the 'will they' or 'won't they' Iceland/M&S debacle, overpriced local eateries/grocers, personal and general attacks/disagreements aplenty. The list goes on. Enjoy catching up!

Louisa.

He did the same to me.

In Boots in Forest Hill.

Without sounding like a nosey bugger, may I ask who this well known stalker/poster was? Lots of people on here claim to have never seen me or know of me, and yet I tell people all the time who I am in local shops, restaurants, bank, petrol station. I'm sure if you don't know me personally, you'll almost certainly have seen me walking around the vicinity, as I do most days (and drive).

Louisa.

Well im sure you do stick to the numbers rule sue. But when the doors are closed thats when punters move their chairs and block gangways etc. When? Hmmm let me see, at your last ivyhouse gig, remember when you nearly fell off the stage because you had 'a bug'!

Posted by?edcam?Yesterday, 05:25PMThe Grok thing re Sueh's gigs is indeed VERY creepy. Wouldn't be surprised if he/she is making it up though, so I'd take it with a pinch of salt(as long as you're not seasoning your baguettes on the bus Sue.)

You see, what's particularly nasty about this is that Sue uses her own name and you could find her easily if you wanted to, whereas Grok could be anyone. And Grok is using that to make not-so-subtle accusations about Sue knowing full well they will never have to back it up in person if they don't want to. Not the first time I've seen it on here either.

All in all pretty cowardly.

No, this is nasty:

As you will know if you have actually been to a gig, we have somebody on all the doors checking handstamps throughout the whole time the gig is on. The doors are in use throughout the evening and people could not possibly sit in front of them. If they moved their chairs they would be asked to move them back to where they were.

And no I didn't "nearly fall off the stage" at the last concert, which I only went onto once to give the headliners an encore. Nor did I have any symptoms of my present bug at the time. But please feel free to continue slagging me off in your usual charming manner.

Can you not find some more constructive use of your time?

ETA: Ah. Are you one of the people who brought chairs into the ballroom on Friday from elsewhere in the pub, ignored the person on the door when he told you you weren't allowed to do that and then had a real go at me when I insisted on removing them?

That would explain a few things.

We get very few unpleasant people at our gigs, and that was one of them. So if not you, somebody of similar character, judging by your posts on here.

There?s plenty of room on here for virtual argy-bargy, but there are kind-of unspoken rules.

One of those unspoken rules is running a personal ongoing spat into an ominous ?I know who you are, I'm watching you, but you don?t know who I am'

Grok, you are being creepy, stalky and unnecessarily unpleasant - and you have crossed the line. My advice - go and lie low for a bit, spend the afternoon pulling wings off butterflies or whatever else it is you do for kicks - before you get booted off here for good.

I absolutely stand by that post. You are quoting massively out of context. I made the point that people should perhaps cut that person some slack as maybe she was not thinking clearly.

But you knew that, didn't you?.

(Edited because Grok isn't worth getting any more wound up about)

I had a PM last year from Grok wishing me happy birthday with my (correct) age included. Yep, creepy.

How very unkind and snide Georgia, when you happily replied to me. And you know we know eachother hence knowing your bd. I'll know better next time.

    • Excuse me? Are you the forum police or just a nosy parker? For your information me and my kids were almost hit by a crazy black boy heading that way on a bike that day so I wondered if it was the same youth. It was upsetting, we could have been seriously hurt. In future wind in your neck before judging people. As I said when you stuck your nose in with unfounded implication and suspicion before, mixed race woman posting here and I bet £100 you are a bourgeois native Brit who obsessively sees race in everything at the expence of practicality (being able to identify potential criminals by describing their physical appearance). If your socialist utopia isn't going to plan don't blame the messenger.

    • No, he was utterly un-electable. Any sensible, non-Momentum, Labour member knew this. Corbyn likes to blame the press but that is the far-left modus operandi - find someone else to blame when the problem lies at your doorstep. I know someone who was on his team and they convinced themselves that they had won on the basis of social media. He was a disaster for the party and only Covid and the incompetence of the Tories allowed Labour to recover. Corbyn was on Newsnight last night clearly putting himself back on the circuit in the hope of a Starmer downfall.  This is why Labour HQ does not want McAsh leading the council - they are trying to purge the party of the far-left due to the damage they have done to it and I believe any swing to a more far-left leadership in Labour HQ would be an unmitigated disaster and just be rolling out the red-carpet for Farage. But the far-left won't care they see another opportunity to take over after they fumbled the ball massively in 2019.
    • Unfortunately I can't get near him as he's quite scared and my cat doesn't like him.  I will see if he is more friendly if he's around when my cat isn't in the garden ,I was just hoping someone might know if he has an owner or where he's come from .
