Didn't think the ski cross was quite as good as the boarder cross - less passing and less carnage. Once they'd negotiated the third corner the order was pretty well set. Mind you, I bet that Canadian bloke who lost it in the final is sporting a fairly impressive bruise.

Oh, and if you missed the French woman in the downhill, it is here on the BBC site. I laughed a lot at the time. Still do every time I see it. :))

Yes it is Brendan.

But for something a little more professional in the womens ice hockey.... check this out

After being dragged out of bed at 4am last night to watch the Canada vs USA game (HUGE match) I'm now duty bound to support the Candadian mens team tonight against Germany (12.30am). If they lose expect national mourning.

So yes - I'm loving the winter olymics.

First time I've seen that. Now, this how you catch an edge.

Unlucky!

After losing to the USA in a group game, Canada stuck it to Germany , Russia and Slovakia last night and have made it to the mens ice hockey final vs the USA. Cue much celebration in our house. This is a HUGE match - and live on BBC2 / BBC red button tomorrow night (Sunday).

I'm all about Curling at the mo.

I didn't realise that so much strategy was involved & that bad sportsmanship is frowned upon.

It is also traditional for the winning team to buy the losing team a drink after the game - I'd never have to pay for booze again :)-D

    • I’m basing it on the fact that Jeremy Corbyn had repeatedly and on record said he is against mandatory vaccinations in any situation, and he wouldn’t disclose wether he had the Covid vaccine himself    as I said. Not as bad as his brother but very definitely a bit weird about the whole thing. Just say you had the vaccination Jeremy, say that everyone should and stop being weird in the middle of a global pandemic    it’s the same slippery evasive nonsense about Brexit and him. About Putin poisonings and him.     if you are happy with his evasiveness then you do you.  But there is a reason the country wouldn’t get behind him
    • It was my understanding that Jeremy Corbyn was embarrassed by his brother and had distanced himself from his brother's views. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Why on earth should "the overall view of that family inform Jeremy's response to the pandemic"? What exactly are you basing that assumption on?
    • I guess it's best to do what most Brits do these days, keep your head down and say nothing! although that's probably why this country is in the mess it is today!  😞
