Charges for half day at childminder's

Is it normal to be charged a for a full day when a child spends just a morning at a childminder's?

Was this a one off ot do you have a regular morning booking? If the child is under 5 and taking up a full space in effect (for eg if s/he is at nursery in the pm) then yes, it's not unusual IME. But you could maybe negotiate it...

We paid ours for a full day for the year our daughter was in preschool as we were taking up a full time place and I also thought we were actually making more work for her as she had to plan the day to be back for lunch and afternoon preschool session. Also meant we had a full time place for school hols which was helpful. Hope you get it sorted

Agree - you are taking up a full time space so have to pay the day rate. Rate only drops once they are in proper school with a 3.30 pick up.
