Now found: Missing Black Bengal Cat Near Pellatt Road / Landcroft Road / Lordship Lane

Recommended Posts

Miu was found today by a builder on Lordship lane and taken to Lordship lane vet with a broken leg. She's in now at the PDSA so fingers crossed they'll be able to save the leg and there are no other injuries.

If anyone knows who the builder is I'd be grateful to find out so I can thank him.

My black bengal cat has gone missing again. She's been missing since Saturday 1 October. Last seen in Bruno's wine bar / shop / Franklins / Lordship Lane on the evening of that day. She seems to like bars like her owner!

She was previously found (when she went missing on 1 April for two weeks) on Melbourne Grove in an attic of a house being renovated so there's a chance she has found a similar property to hide in.

Any help to find her would be much appreciated.

You need to put posters up around the area. The sorting office n Silvester rd will also put one up n there. My cats went missing from the same area and the first one was found by someone who saw my poster. The other came back by herself. Let us know what happens and fingers crossed for you.

It's a long way from home but a cat very like that came running up to me as I got my bike out this morning at 8AM, corner of Copleston Road and Soames Street. It was miaowing as if looking for attention but when I bent to try to stroke it s/he panicked and shot off down Soames Street, and by the time I'd got round the corner it was nowhere to be seen. Can't say for sure it was Miu but looked very similar. Will be keeping a eye out, might be worth putting some posters up down this way in case?

Good luck, hope you find her soon.

Thanks for your message. I walked around that area yesterday for a few hours but no sign. I'm getting some more posters done so will expand my search area. Thanks for keeping your eye out for her.

I am pretty sure I saw your cat today at 6.50am. It was on corner of Copleston Road and Avondale rise, it ran, when it saw me and my dog, up Avondale Rise and over railway bridge. I may have also seen it on Copleston Road over the last few days, around number 80. It looked scared and a bit bedraggled, but otherwise fine. I will keep looking when I am out again.
We have seen the small black cat hanging outside our house 71 Copleston Rd a lot however it looks like it's new to the neighbourhood rather than missing - didn't seem stressed at all, v friendly, hanging out with a tabby. Will get a picture of it next time we see it.

I know the one you mean Leah - particularly as just had to shut the front door on him/her and tabby friend who'd followed me down from the corner! They're both very friendly and seem very well cared for - the black one I saw Sunday was definitely a different cat.

Cheers,

Rendel

I've just noticed on this thread that someone has mentioned a tabby cat, mine is missing (I've sent a separate post on this) but was wondering what colour tabby it was and if you saw if it was wearing a collar?

The one I've seen is very small - six months old maybe? - and I don't think has a collar, comes running across from the even numbered side of the road, I think it must live somewhere round here. Do you have a picture of your tabby? I tend to go out for a stroll round the neighbourhood a couple of times a day and try to keep a picture of all the local missing cats in my head, just in case!

Best,

Rendel

I currently have a missing tabby and white cat too! The tabby I've seen around here for ages, I think just the black cat is new - both look v at home and cared for so I really don't think either are missing I'm afraid. But will keep an eye out anyway!
Thank you so much! My tabby is small, she's female and only 1 years old, I'll upload a photo into the thread I've made for my missing cat, but if you could please look out for her I'd really appreciate it, she's very much loved and missed!

Hi

a black kitten has been found in a loft by builders in Melbourne Grove, they have taken it home for the weekend to look after but are bringing it back tomorrow I think, neighbours are trying to find the owner. Wouldn't it be wonderful if it was your dear soul. I got the impression someone has contacted you already. I look out for her every day when I'm walking the dog.

I have seen the same cat again this afternoon that I posted about earlier in week. I tried to get close but it ran...it is now up our end around Danby St...if you are still looking and the kitten mentioned above is not yours, could you put some posters up around here? It's body language suggests it's lost...it's not kitten sized but a young adult, medium and fluffy...

    • Everyone gets the point that Corbynites try to make with the "total number of votes cast" statistic, it's just a specious one.  In 2017, Corbyn's Labour got fewer votes than May's Tories (both the percentage of votes and aggregate number of votes). In 2019, Corbyn's Labour fewer votes than Johnson's Tories (both the percentage of votes and aggregate number of votes); and he managed to drop 2.7 million votes or 6.9% of vote share between the two elections. I repeat, he got trounced by Boris F***ing Johnson and the Tories after the Brexit omnishambles. It is not true that a "fairer" electoral system would have seen Labour beat the Tories: Labour simply got fewer votes than the Tories. Corbyn lost twice. There is no metric by which he won the general election. His failure to win was a disaster for the UK, and let Johnson and Truss and Sunak into office. Corbynites have to let go of this delusion that Corbyn but really won somehow if you squint in a certain way. It is completely irrelevant that Labour under Corbyn got more votes than Labour under Starmer. It is like saying Hull City was more successful in its 2014 FA Cup Final than Chelsea was in its 2018 FA Cup Final, because Hull scored 2 goals when Chelsea only scored 1. But guess what - Chelsea won its game and Hull City lost. Corbyn's fans turned out to vote for him - but an even larger group of people who found him repellant were motivated enough to show up and vote Tory.
