The most worrying part is the increasing rise of the right in many countries, using immigration to stir people up. The people who voted leave because they didn't think it would actually happen may have helped to unleash something far, far worse. I met an elderly Austrian today who said it feels similar to the stories she grew up with about the thirties. Very concerning.

This. Let's not forget that without Hitler to give us something to fight against Mosely and the Blackshirts would quite possibly have done very well in the UK - the same Daily Mail that had the headline "Hurrah for the Blackshirts!" hasn't evolved that much, and I believe it's still Britain's most popular "newspaper." Worrying times.

Completely agree here. The U.K. Is going to be made such an example of by the EU just to show how difficult and unpleasant it will be. We're going to come out of this pretty badly and I fear the EU will negotiate terms after our departure to ones we would have liked.

Farage should be made accountable for such gross lies and empty promises. Makes my skin crawl.

On my Twitter feed - where I follow a couple of US media - getting promoted tweets to "move on and invest in the isle de Paris" clearly aimed at US business investment; I expect this is happening everywhere - German, French, Irish targeting International investors - A Brexit Uk govt bet get on with establishing us as this "free from the shackles of the EU" enterprise island pretty soon or we are going to end up as the poor man of Europe again. My worry is they don't really have a plan at all

There is no plan. Only a ?350M a week for the NHS lie, as Farage has now admitted.

This was a vanity project for a cowardly Cameron, too weak to tackle problems in his own party, so called for a stupid referendum with a stupid question and got a stupid answer. He didn't even allow campaigning against Boris and Gove as he didn't want to upset the Tory party and now too cowardly to lead the exit.

What is more a lot of out voters now regretting their vote.

I also think Thursday should have been declared a wash out, torrential rain and floods, good thing we are not all superstitious.

And now into the long 'it's got to get worse before it gets better' stage a period of adjustment and transition.

If only any of us could hand on heart say and believe we trust and have faith in our leader/s, which is what we all need now more than ever, there is not a good man among them. It's a shame Cameron is leaving so soon, and not be required to live and work with the consequences of his 'let's have a referendum' party game.
