  1. in your opinion : Well after your constant needling Sue, here you have a reaction: the poster is not dyslexic. English is her first language. Of sorts. Of course I am not trolling. I am however exasperated at this poster's crashing keys method of communication. Neither am I haunting everyone/anyone else's posts in order to leave a smiley face or comment. I feel often that you believe yourself to be the community police officer here on the wonderful EDF, which is not necessary, thank you all the same. When you consider some of the downright unpleasant, offensive, disgusting, moralistic, rude, insolent, puerile, crass, sexist, misogynistic, vulgar and vile comments on here, then perhaps you should take them on and not someone who you believe you can bully with your self righteous indignation and verbal curtain twitching. On this site in the last few days someone has referred to DF as a twat, someone has left an offensive remark for Louisa, and insults have been flying unchecked. Go take them on, if you think your're hard enough and not be picking on me because somehow, you see me as a soft target. Your judgement seems askew. I have never knowingly been rude. I would prefer it if you would get off my back. Find yourself something productive to do other than haunting this site and leaving me meaningless comments and sanctimonious twitterings.
  2. It would only take you a moment to read through and edit your posts to include punctuation, pauses, as there is 'room to improve' or to quote my erstwhile school reports : 'could do better' as what you do write is unreadable.
  3. clearly never hit Harrods food hall
  4. Louisa, the wines in each section are mixed so we have to search - remember the old adage - You get what you pay for? We have an expectation of M&S to exceed expectations that became stultified at the Coop. The all grain low GI bread in Lidl is good - as are their panini. And croissants, if they are fresh out and not been sweating there for hours. Last evening in M&S at 6.15, I just wanted carrots, celery and chocolate ginger biscuits : the fresh veg and salad section was practically empty, and no biscuits. And no wonderful figs. Iam pleased for you that you are out laying ghosts, and toasting them later no doubt.

  6. natty, now you are providing dating advice????? o my days, whatever next
  7. not there today : much to my chagrin as I had ?20 and an expectation of coming home laden with greens and berries. A sign declared : not here due to staffing problems. See you next week. Uber disappointing. I posted as soon as I was able to save anyone perhaps with small children, a fruitless trip.
  8. sela you don't want to believe everything you see in print. We love good food, cooking, entertaining, eating out, and occasionally, fish and chips/curry/Thai takeaway, we want the options, we all work hard and need nutrition, we enjoy the eating/dining experience, you will note that there is no KFC or Wimpy or McDonalds along this stretch of highway or ever likely to be.
  9. the Coop is the pits, as is well documented by me here : so many items unpriced, milk sours quickly, dilatory staff and service, understocked, first time for weeks they have had regular humous, despite snide remarks, this is an important component of ED life but no one there cares. The shop is dismal and depressing and mega expensive. The queues are infamous. And for those of you who do not check labels, buying fish or meals containing chicken, check the origin. What we really really need, is a Cook, nearest West Dulwich, lamb tagline, rice, dessert, yum. I cannot get excited about M&S its so beige. They do not even have a non dairy/vegan option in sandwiches or ready meals, so way behind the zeitgeist, if we cannot have meat, dairy, wheat or eggs, then ready meal store providing what is required (market research anyone) would be welcome, as it is, nothing has changed or evolved or improved for years.

  20. What does 'caught out by the landlords' mean? When the phone rings, the answerer responds : 'Mary's Living and Giving,' and not 'Save the Children.' I have bought a Gap shirt last year, and will go in and have a look soon, but it is overpriced, items of clothing are more or less the same price as new and often more, and to factor in the cost of dry cleaning. Mrs Aerie's beef is that she has taken in new and beautiful items of clothing and accessories which have never appeared in the shop, which is manned by volunteers so who knows, perhaps they feel entitled to perks. I hope they are paying what they would if the item was in the shop on the rail. Otherwise we are providing volunteers with a supply of goods which are intended to stock the shop and give everyone an opportunity to purchase, and feel this is not the spirit in which this giving was intended. I do feel that this MLaG shop was partly responsible for the demise of Give and Take, as well as their curious way of doing things, and frequent notices on the door exhorting people not to bring in any more stock as they had enough, as it clearly wasn't moving. Now we know there are generous people about who donate really quite valuable clothes accessories and 'things' so we will do what we can to keep recycling, but not if the prices reflect the cost of the lengthy closure and repairs. I hear what you are saying, and believe that at the end of each week, the takings should be displayed and the net amount to StC declared. At least with a local charity we can be sure most is going into the kitty for which it is intended, and hope this is not a naive assumption.
  21. well this isn't really East Dulwich is it, I looked it up, its Lewisham,

And avoid being given a wrong/incorrect number. You can only hope to see her again sometime - if she is friendly and personable you could be one of many people she speaks to during the course of her week and your encounter will not impact on her sensibilities Do not haunt the supermarket and become a creepy stalker You are assuming a possible connection - perhaps Rosy was being polite who knows, you have to be fatalistic about these things.
