  1. we are now free to travel. which broadens the mind. apparently. If you are our age (mid 60's) then you must realise, from henceforth, we are left behind. My missus complains that our daughters use the 'Muuuuuuum salutation as a means of describing idiocy. If they knew the half of what we,singly and together 'got up to' before they were born, they would have a hard job believing it. Lucky for them we will never ever tell them.
  2. sallyfran, although a freedom pass can be used anytime on a bus, it is not valid until 9.30 am on mainline trains
  3. This happened to us 6 weeks ago with a bed we manouvered ourselves into the hallway to accommodate a speedy pick up. No further contact, explanation or apology offered. It's not a respectful way to behave. And a crying shame as it was only months old. Of course the it was totally in the way and we were required to pay to have it removed. The wife was upset and cross that she had provided contact details, and address.
  4. EDOldie - I saw what you did there and smiled !
  5. hello JimH, do you mean the ATM at Lloyds?
  6. buggie - the Belvedere Splash Park has not been open this year and Bexley Council are closing it, moving the park opposite onto the SP site and have plans for the original park which include closure of the adjacent busy library. Reasons given are the Splash Park is too expensive to maintain as the filters are constantly blocked. A 50p entrance per adult seems to be beyond their whit. It was a wonderful facility, for even barely on their feet toddlers, and despite a petition and public meetings, I fear it is doomed. Good luck with this venture, summer - sunshine and water, wonderful
  7. Bb. I only just found your response - and we walked up your road earlier - see you Saturday then! thank you
  8. hello, could you please say what a front of house sale is, thank you!
  9. exactly Azira, as per my point that LIB was wearing a poacher's bag inside her coat, and yes she committed suicide by electrocution, proving that she shoplifted for kicks. Not because there was a tory covernment: however, why is it that from 5-6 pm peak time there are only 2 cashiers operating at the Coop
  10. Or Lady Isobel Barnett, years ago, tuna I think, with the aid of a poacher's bag. And she was a JP. Giving credence to the theory mooted here that if it's in you to steal you will - unlike most people who patiently queue in the Coop.

    So....

    Seabag - Dyslexics rule K.o.
  12. note taped to unidentifiable piece of furniture outside house near the G. E. - 'free to good home - or bad home, I don't judge!'
  13. could you be more specific? eg type of music required, Beatles /hip hop/charts/ed Sheeran? hours, location, refreshments? I had to look up the day. Saturday.
  14. hello I experienced this shock when I had 3 regular keys cut at Timpsons whilst shopping in Sainsbury ?18 . I was reeling! Now I come to think of it, I did not have a receipt. I wanted to refuse to take them, as had the surly key cutter told me the price before I handed my keys over I would have declined. He held onto my original keys until I had paid. A few weeks previously I had 3 keys cut at Plough diy for ?8.50 (and a till receipt). It's a sick feeling to know you have been ripped off and I do sympathise. and empathise
  15. you will all be pleased to know that I finally realised BB is a nuisance with nothing better to do than post idiotic nonsense and meaningless rhetoric. its tiresome?! no wonder normal residents refrain from posting if this is the standard, which needs raising, methinks. It isn't even funny.
  16. BB - truly a pointless post - I hate myself for reading this and being primed to make relevant observations. And feel duped. I don't actually care whether you have a fourth child or not. Are you related to the Kardashians?
  17. The Grove Tavern imho would be an ideal placement for a new improved Police Station. an unmissable presence in our midst.
  18. I heard the take away shop and building had been bought to be used as the school office/admin to maximise school space on a limited site. This seemed totally feasible.

    lunar eclipse

hello, who watched the supermoon turn to rust this morning? Did anyone take a good pic? we were sitting outside wrapped up warm, disappointed that we could not hear howling.
  20. hello, where is this venue? Is there parking? we want to come and support you all
  21. hello, despite there being so many alerts for this event, on each one you have neglected to say where the school is located. and whether it will be possible to park. I have google mapped it but this should not be necessary. However have a good turn out and hope the weather holds for you all.
