Cat has adopted us - is it missing?

Hi, for about a week a thin black and white cat has been coming to our back door and taking my cat's leftovers from his dish. He/she always seems ravenously hungry but I do know that cats can be cheeky and visit other houses for food. Or is he missing and genuinely hungry?

The cat is nearly all black. He has some white under his chin, white socks and his front right leg is grey. He has a small face and really wide staring bright green eyes. No collar. Seems pretty bold. We are towards the top end of Upland Road with gardens backing on to Friern Road.

see if you can get a picture of it and post it, there are so many lost cats, it could well be one...and if you can, try and take it to the vets to have it scanned for a chip

Thanks both for alerting me to this. Sadly this doesn't sound like it is our missing cat as he has quite a prominent 'tuxedo' of white and none of his legs are grey. I appreciate you both for taking the time to post though.

Hi JB. I did look through the recent missing cats threads before starting this one and sadly our "stray" is definitely not yours. So sorry.

I will of course take it to be scanned if this thread doesn't turn up any answers in the next few days.

Sorry it wasn't yours John - I was hoping that maybe the grey leg might just be ash or something, knowing the way cats love to roll in dead bonfires etc. Fingers crossed yours shows up soon.

I just wondered if it was my parents' cat which went missing from Dulwich Common? Their cat was originally microchipped.
